The story of Skeeter, a Poodle with Narcolepsy.
I can’t watch this. It is too sad.
That has to be one of the saddest things i”ve seen this month.
Looking for a Saint Bernard PUPPY in or near the PA area. Please let me know if anybody knows any breeders! Thanks!
My husband and I had a narcoleptic German Shepherd. When we rescued her we didn’t realize she was sick. It was terribly sad! She didn’t make it long. We believe she had parvo.
It’s soo sad to know that things like this happen to such sweet animals. I hate to see them suffer:(
This video is really heart breaking. I never saw such a video before, it just makes me feel so sad that such good dogs can’t help themselves. Some good treatment need to be provided for such dogs.
Oh the poor little guy! Hopefully his life will help researchers figure this one out!
I posted this to my favorite dog news site, www.dogtopics.net.
Awh poor little dog.
Maybe it looks funny for an average teenager but for a dog owner. It’s really sad.

The video seems to no longer be working?
Just thought you should know.

I want a companion dog who will run long distances with me twice a day. I’m very active and walk a lot too. Is the giant schnauzer a good choice? I had a mini once but I met a giant and it stole my heart. Plus it’ll prob be able to keep up better with me than a mini… what do u think?
It’s kinda sad, but it’s soooo funny. www.chihuahuathreads.com
it is not funny when i see some poor animal suffering from something like that it makes me cry
That’s So Sad And I cant Bleev how horribly funny u think that is. I hope that any1 who thinks that’s funny gets a disease much worse than narcolepsy but the symptoms quite similiar. Then perhaps you won’t think it’s so funny. what if a family member got something similiar?how would you feel? it makes wanna cry how horrible some people in the world are! it’s nauseating! especialy children my age around 12. you people are SICK!!!! :-Q
I agree with >:-( Not Funny because whoeveer thinks it’s funny to watch a poor dog suffer from a deseise, there are f*cked
Hi
Good site
came on this wonderful site
Very all is simple and with taste.
That is sad
So Sad hope they can find a cure for this. I just cant imagine they struggles he has to face every day just to stay awake. I really feel sorry for him.
That is just as bad as my dog that has seizers, you feel so helpless when you watch them go into one there moments.
Joshua- how could you think thats funny! A poor, helpless dog suffering from a horrible disease that may be fatal! We might of misunderstood you, but still!
This is absolutely heartbreaking
it’s terrible to see such an innocent creature suffer. And what’s worse is that the vets don’t know what to do to help!! We all need to do our part and help to further fund animal research in order to alleviate the pain and suffering of these animals.
I also have Narcolepsy. I feel a little bad for the dog, but he’s not exactly suffering. It’s not painful- but it isn’t fun either. I know a few people said he was “sick,” but Narcolepsy is often genetic (and I’m pretty sure they even found the gene in dogs, which is better than they have for humans). So, anyway, he’s not sick. I would love to have a dog like this, because we would totally understand each other.
Oh yes…
and Narcolepsy is DEFINITELY NOT fatal.
What makes this story so sad is what most dogs love is to be excited and play. So its difficult to see Skeeter almost get to that point then fall asleep. I love to know how Skeeter is doing now.
Poor baby. At least he’s not in pain.
I feel really bad for this little puppy. I hope the vets will be able to help him.

2011 Happy New Year! Thanks so much for this! I have not been this thrilled by a blog post for quite some time! You have got it, whatever that means in blogging. Anyway, Youre definitely somebody that has something to say that people need to hear. Keep up the wonderful work. Keep on inspiring the people!
I believe that avoiding packaged foods could be the first step to lose weight. They will taste great, but processed foods contain very little nutritional value, making you take in more only to have enough vitality to get over the day. For anyone who is constantly eating these foods, transferring to grain and other complex carbohydrates will aid you to have more power while taking in less. Thanks alot : ) for your blog post.
I’d have to examine with you here. Which isn’t one thing I often do! I get pleasure from studying a post that can make folks think. Additionally, thanks for allowing me to comment!
