Does the Furminator Work?
Furminator
Question Comment 1: As a professional groomer, I can tell you that they do work. And I use both, mars rakes and the furminator on many of my clients dogs. I even recommend that they get on ebay and purchase one. They work in the same theory as a stipping knife. However, I would not use it on a dog that is currently "being shown" as it can break the top coat. I am sorry that they were rude to you. Were they that busy that they didn't have time to chat? However, if it were my company I certainly would not be handing out a free sample that costs around $30 - $60. Especially since they last quite awhile before needing to be replaced. IMO that wouldn't be very smart business sense. Might send a complimentary one to a grooming shop so that they could try it, knowing that if they liked it, others in the shop would order. But I cerainly would not be handing "freebies" out to just anyone. Also, were they giving samples of their other products, such as the shampoos and conditioners? That, I would think, would make more sense.

Comment 2:
They were at a trade show, and apparently the thing that really bothered Larry was how rude they were, not that they didn't give out samples. Many at the show did not give out samples, but as spokespeople for many companies were in attendance, they found the folks at the Furminator didn't have much "Marketing" skills in use. They pretty much were rude to a number of folks at the trade show, and I think that was what Larry was trying to point out.
The Good and the Bad
Comment 3: The BAD and I would not buy this product at all Furminator>>>
They were very rude and would not even give us a sample to use at home. They did a small spot on the General on Saturday. On Sunday would not even due Sammie. Mary told them we belong to Two Newf clubs and belong to Newf-L. They were a bunch of losers.
The GOOD is PLANET DOG go to planetdogretailer.com see one of their own Newf.
There staff was very polite and they gave us samples of some products. Very nice people. Their toys were very good too. But General Blue only wanted more squeakier toys. The Landsears also received some goodies. The boys are still pooped.
