We are still kicking Irish names around...but here is a pic of our new "little" girl. She is 4 months old today. Smiley
We have had her 2 days and she is so well behaved as far as following me around and coming when called. She is a bit timid, but coming out of her shell. She loves hanging with our 2 Danes. She was raised in a horse stall pretty much, but made herself right at home. Within 15 min of being here she was in my recliner. LOL

I love your pupper...Shes tooo cute...Is she purebred?  Did She not come with a registered name if she is papered?
We also have an IW, she is now almost 10 months old.  Her name is Amy, Windseeker Amy at Prairietrail.
Heres a pic of her around the four month stage, that is when we got her.
And also a recent one from the last show we were at in March.

She is an AKC purebred. She didn't come with a name. None of my registered dogs have. I got her from a woman that has been breeding and showing them for 35 years. Mom and dad were both there as well as grandma and one of her aunts. Smiley I'll post more pics soon.

I am in love and insanely jealous!!  She is so precious, and I have always wanted an IW!

As for names, I love the classic Irish girlie names like Shannon and Erin and Chelsea and Maeve.

I am also insanely jealous, IW are one of my most favorite breeds  Wink She is beautiful - congratulation s!!!

How about Kelly? That's a strong Irish girls' name?!  Cheesy Actually, I prefer it spelt the Celtic way: Kelleigh. Wish mine was spelt like that  Wink

I forgot that the AKC dogs aren't named, the CKC dogs all have kennel names and then you can add your kennel to it if you want.  One of our dogs has our name and the other doesn't.
I can't wait to see more pics of her.
Where are you from?  We are looking at getting another wolfie from New Mexico.

Awww, she is beautiful, congratulation s!  Welcome, I'm the mom of 3 kids, 3 dogs (Daisy a Golden/Yellow LabX and Cassie & Sammy our Pyrs), and our kitties.  I love Irish names.  Have you considered Googling "Irish baby names" for ideas?  I have a baby name book of Irish names that we used when we were expecting our kids.  Have fun choosing a name for her, she's too cute!

Hello and welcome!
Your IW is gorgeous!  I would love to have one someday, such beautiful creatures.

Good luck on finding a name, let us know what you decide, irish/celtic names are fun........... although not as many girl names to choose from.

I am in Ohio. We have been thinking Killian...Kill i for short. I also like Teagan, reagan, rouri, Keagan. I am a bit upset tonight, I found she has a hernia on her belly (imbilical hernia) It isn't very big, my male dne had one as a pup and it closed by itself. I am just mad I didn't notice it before. She will bw going to the vet in the am and i will be calling the breeder as well...
