Kentucky loves cleaning Derby's ears. She'll sit there and lick inside them until Derby pushes her away. Does anyone else's dog do this or is this just one more notch in 'Tucky's crazy belt?

Timber is notorius for doing that. He cleans Meli's feet too!  The crazy thing is that Meli loves it and has never moved or made him stop. They'd sit there forever if I left them.

Posey will occasionally try and lick inside Gunther's ears, but she prefers to clean out his eyes.......... ......lol.  And it's the only thing he tolerates her doing to him.  His fetish is licking Nigel and Posey's dog tags.  Must like the taste of metal.

I think Keiko's the only normal one........... ....lol.

Grace used to make Lady lick her ears.  Her boyfriend, Rosco the poodle, gets in there as best as he can now.  She won't, however let me near her ears to clean them.

Maybe it's in the technique. You're not lickin' right. Wink

Kaila and Shiner both clean each other's ears.  Shiner will also clean Kaila's eyes and the rest of her head.  She will occassionally clean his eyes but not so much.

Well look at it from poor Gunthers view on Posey trying to lick out his ears...Her tongue size compared to his ear size is a big difference so it probably tickles!!!!!

and I agree Lin, maybe your licking technique isn't good enough from Grace!

Of the dogs, Dinty is the ear cleaner in my house. But the kitty is the official ear cleaner of all the dogs. They sure seem to prefer him doing it than me!

Puck is the offical ear cleaner here. Rosie looks like she dunked her head in the pool , when he is done. ugh  Lips Sealed

Sadie cleans Riley's ears and eyes, and sometimes other parts of his face. She also cleans her own paws almost obsessively - she'll make a huge wet spot on the sheets if she does it in bed, and you don't stop her. She will also lick her paws and use them to clean her face, like a cat.

The vet told me that if she is cleaning one of Riley's ears more than the other, check it for an infection (it'll smell funny if it has an infection, and that's what's drawing her to it). I noticed this once, and sure enough, he did have an infection in that ear.

Junie the Catahoula girl is a face cleaner. Not ears, but the rest of his face, including his drool after he drinks. I quite appreciate it. Cheesy

Although, she has licked a raw spot around one of his whiskers.  Shocked I've been putting Bitter Apple on it so she'll leave it alone until it heals. That's Junie, though, always an overachiever.  Cheesy
