Big Paw Owner Retirement Village
« on: April 20, 2006, 02:43:25 am »
How 'bout we all buy property together, subdivide it and call it Big Paws Only Estates?  Then, we could goo-goo and ga-ga over each other's pups and not have to put up with all these stupid people -- think of the dog park we could have!

If I win the lottery, I'll let ya'll know where we'll all be living.

I'm a hippy at heart.

OK, WHERE are we buying this property?  And how much of it?  Because you  know...scary dogs...we'll need a buffer zone around us for the rest of the idiots.

AND NO SNOW.  It can get cold, (the Newfies need cool weather) but there needs to be NO SNOW.

If we're all retiring there, we need to not be slippng on the ice and breaking our hips when we're 82 and walking our babies in the middle of the night.

Are you kidding?  Unlike stupid people, we welcome everyone -- that includes SMUDGE!  At least until tone of the little guys gets the Little Big Man Syndrome.  Then we'll have to have a "Pack Meeting."

We're in!!! YEA!!!  The best idea so far!!!  I think we should have two weeks of snow every year just around Christmas!  Then it needs to melt without mud and then we don't want it much hotter than, oh, how about 80 degrees in the summer!??  Can we get it on a lake so the Newfs can rescue us regularly?   ;D ;D ;D

I CAN'T WAIT!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D

Sounds great!  Somewhere on the ocean maybe?  Now how will I talk my husband into this one... promises of regular meetings for significant others who think we're all crazy?  Can cats come too?

That would be so great. To live with everyone who loves dogs. If its not on the Ocean we should have our own private lake. Why hasn't some developer thought of this yet? You might be on to something. ;)

I work for real estate attorneys -- we do work for some developer-clients.  Maybe I'll sneak it into the conversation. . .

Yeah -- free room and board to any vets out there!

I'd also like to see a fenced in acre with about a dozen sheep so all our guardian/herding types could practice.

We wouldn't need the signs, though.  We'd have a security gate that would say "IF YOU CAN'T RUN WITH BIG DOGS DON'T GET OFF THE PORCH" (or out of your car)

Of course we'd all have to have mailboxes at the entrance cause no postman in his right mind would walk through our neighborhood.

I'll be the postman, so I can see ALL the babies EVERY DAY.   ;)

I think we should also have an on-site trainer, groomer and baby-sitter.

I bet crime in this neighborhood would be really low.
