What the Newfoundland Dog, St. Bernard, Poodle & Bulldog used to look like & in that order!...Isn't that interesting?

That last pic of the rotts is awesome.  They are so beautiful, makes me want more of them! NO NO NO BAD!

The Rottie pics are awesome!...Also I wanted to add that all of the dogs shown in those pics might not be what they looked like in the 1800's...Could be further back even....I can't believe the Newfie we know today could have ever looked like that...Could it be a different Newfoundland dog of some sort I wonder & that Bulldog looks like a Boxer don't ya' think?

Very strange...but cool. I have a book from the 1800's with all old dog breeds in it...really interesting. I also have a sporting dog book that is almost that old. Fascinating to see how far they have come! Here's some more pictures.

I started a thread yesterday "I Love This Picture" but thought it belonged here also.  What I find interesting is that the dane has natural ears, one more reason to like the Bouvier family.  I just adore Jacqueline; even as a little girl she exuded class.
