70 Dogs in Odessa ( Texas ) Losing Guardian to Cancer. All Need Homes!

Posted 04/13/2006

Dear Animal Friends,

We are sad to report that there are 70 dogs at a sanctuary in Odessa, Texas who need to be placed in loving homes. They are currently at a sanctuary run by a wonderful man who is in the last stages of prostate cancer. If these dogs are not rescued soon, he will be unable to care for them and a local humane society will put them down.

Most of the dogs are mid- to large-sized. All the dogs are friendly to dogs and humans; they are starved for human affection. There are no agressive dogs. The dogs have been neutered and spayed, vaccinated, tested for heartworm and tick fever, treated for ticks and fleas, treated for tapeworms and some have undergone extensive dental work. Most of these dogs have been in the sanctuary for 1 to 5 years. They have not lived in homes, so they will require some socialization.

If you or anyone you know has the time, patience and the room in your heart and home to provide for one or more fo these animals, please contact Max Green at Max@idausa.org or leave a message at 415 388-9641, ext 222 and someone will get back to you right away.

Thank you for all that you do to help animals

Sincerely,
In Defense of Animals
