OMG... I'm in love, love, love with Chonco. I haven't had a puppy problem in so long that I don't know how to handle it!!! I'm going crazy... can't work, can't think anything non-puppy related...
Here are the three little boys that are available in the litter. One is spoken for, as are all the little ladies. I'm so in love right now.
-
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh hhhh, Chonco's a little stud! I love Mack too, he looks like a smaller guy. Oh dear, well good luck with that one, probably shouldn't have looked at pictures lol.
-
Oh , you *SO* need one ! Remember , they're at a great price . You may never have this opportunity again ! ;D ;)
-
Alright guys... how could I get two Saints, and two boys, and one car seat in a Mazda 3 (Oh, and me too)? Can anyone think of anything??? I'm dying here, and that is the only thing holding me back! I don't want to have to leave my pups at home because I can't take them both, ya know? I know that this will only be an issue 50% of the time, as half the time my boys are with their Dad.
-
OH man, you make a great case. I'm having such a hard time... I can't explain it, but I look at his face and just think he's supposed to be with me! I have an extra crate and so right now I'm checking with the breeders/farmers? to find out Chonco's personality. Remember Lola's issues with Maya? I keep thinking I could easily have that problem with Bella if Chonco's too feisty. I'll keep you posted. Ughh. Pictures and co-workers are evil!!!!!! :D
-
I've got it ! Turn the AC on all the way , then your car will be freeeezing and the kids won't mind having a big ol' saint bernard sitting on top of them ! LMAO ;D
-
I won't even dare try to take my kids (any of them) and both dogs to the vet. I make a point to schedule them when I can get hubby to stay here with the kids. Now there will come a time I will want to take them on car trips though, like to pick one up from school or something and I don't even want to think about how that is gonna work. But I have an SUV and could make it work. Since you don't have your kids 100% of the time, I think you could definitely make a go of it! If that is the only thing holding you back that is. Good idea finding out about the temperment first. I love his grumpy looking face, hehe.

One dog sits in the front seat, one dog sits in the back....proble m solved. Chonco is a cutie!!
-
That is one cute face that Chonco has. I say take Bella down to visit and have her meet Chonco if she doesn't like him then you have a very good reason not to get him. But if she adores him then you have a great reason to get him.
-
I'm not the voice of reason, Julie. I know that Bella is going to love Chonco so really I'm just the devil adding in more temptation. ;D
-
Oh, all you enablers are just wonderful. ;D What would I do without this place??? :D I am going to go home and try to sort this out. There are so many great reasons to get him (he's exactly what I want, he's affordable, in good health, it's good timing with Bella being young, etc), but there are still a couple concerns (Car- ACK! and Added Dog Costs- ACK!). I have to make sure I am feeling... capable of the chaos!
I love you guys for all the support... err... enabling! ;) You're the best! I'll let you know; I basically have to make a decision this weekend.

OMG Choncho is adorable!!! Well they all are, but Choncho's sweet FACE soooo cute! ;D
-
OMG, i have to admit, Choncho IS the cutest lil one... Ooohhh i dont even know how i'd deal with your delema... i'd want one, but oh my... hahah Thats like how we are dealing with how i want this Chinese crested, but we just got Jigsaw a few months ago, but. OMG... hahahaha ;D go with your heart... :)

Aww, it's good you are being sensible and thinking it through! Very good. It will change A LOT and double the expense so that's a good thing to consider. Things have been extremely tight for me since bringing home these dear pups of mine, I wouldn't have done anything differently but now I know the impact hahahah.
Choncho is just a doll face though, no doubt about it. We're all going to be jealous. :)
Oops, IF you get him I mean :P
-
OMG youd better get him or I will!!! lol husband reading that over my shoulder was just like "WHAT??!!!" lol seriously though, you can make it work, if you dont you may regret it for a long time afterwards!! :)
-
I say look at the signs??? They are all pointing to Chonco!! Everyone will get along great and you will be soooooo happy you made the choice!
-
I think if you purposely post pictures of a puppy/dog on BPO and comment how badly you want him or her , deep down inside you KNOW you posted here for a reason as you KNOW everyone will try to talk you into it !!!! ;D So what are you waiting for ?!?! ;) :-*

We have a small Sonoma stepside truck. Neither Bubba or Lola really fit in it and we can only squeeze one dog in at a time. Usually we end up taking Lola because Bubba just looks too uncomfortable. For vet visits, I just make 2 appointments.
Our major mistake with the Lola/Mia situation is that I took the guys word when he said Mia did not have a dominant personality. So I think taking Bella with you to meet Choncho would be the best thing. Plus you are adding a male.. so the odds of them getting along are much better than if you were trying to add another female.
Choncho, is just too darn adorable to pass up. hehehhhe ;)

Oh, man guys. I know you're so right! Sadly, I called and told them that I couldn't take Chonco at this time. There were so many things just "lining up" for me to get him, but I look at Bella and the cats, and my job and my boys and I just couldn't do it. I know I would have loved him so much, but around here, I get paid at the beginning of every month (only once per month) and by the end of the month, I'm doing little odd jobs here and there (i.e. detailing cars, cleaning houses, packing reserve canopies) just so I can make it to the next pay check. I'm upsidedown in my car (like thousands of dollars) so it will be another 4 years before I'll be ahead enough to get another car. I though about doubling the amount of dog food costs, vet costs, etc. and I just don't think I'm ready to take on that extra expense. I really want to add another dog to our family, and doing it while Bella is young seems like the best way to go. I wish I was in a place where I could say that financially I can afford another dog, but if for some reason things got tighter than I expected I wouldn't be able to take care of my dogs and then I would have to make a choice to (I cringe even THINKING about it) rehome one. I'm thinking worse case scenario here, I know but it scares me to put myself in a position where I could potentially have to do that to an animal and/or my family. I appreciate everyone here so much for your feedback and your encouragement! I wish Chonco would have come around in another 6 months from now! (Sigh)
Anyway, Chonco's sister Sasha is going home with a co-worker of mine, so I'll be sure to post some pics of her. On that note, I'll try to post some new pics of Bella. She grows so fast, and I'm terrible at keeping up! Thanks guys!!!
Love,
Ang

Awww, you definitely are being smart on this one, and that's just about how my finances are, minus the car- cause I lease, so I can relate. It just wasn't meant to be this time but when you're in a better position, I bet the perfect pup will come along.
Can't wait to see pics of Sasha and Bella!
:)
-
Awww ,I'm sorry :-[ It's okay though ,another perfect puppy will come again someday ! :-*
-
Good for you and not going on impulse. Just wait, this happened for a reason, the perfect pup is out there!
-
some hansome pups....so the question for you is to get one??? or three!!! i can see why you are in love :D
-
SO???? Did you get him??? You said you had to make a decission this weekend? Or were you meaning at the end of THIS one????
Chonco just seems like he has more personality than Jack and Mack. How adorable is he???? Awww...
-
I didn't get one. This all happened last month or so. I have met Chonco's little sister though. In hindsight, right now I think it was the right decision for me. I just love animals, and have this "more the merrier" feeling about them. BUT, then when I think logically, I realize that I am just one person, and I have 5 dependents already (two of my own, two cats and Bella). That's enough for me right now! I heard that Chonco and his brother went to a happy home in Denver somewhere together, so maybe I'll run into him someday! ;)
