I got an email back about the litter of pups I was looking at.I had my heart set on a male, but they have only 1 female left.Would it be a problem adding a girl to the pack? I've heard girls can be tempermental(dogs that is :D )any truth to that?? Anything else I should consider about adding a girl??

I've always heard that males & females get along better than all of one gender, so I don't know. Since you have two boys (and they get along fine), maybe a 3rd male would be fine, but I kinda like the idea of adding a female to the pack. Do you have any pics of this little girl? ;) ;D

I have usually had female dogs period and have not had a problem with 2 females together. the younger one will learn her place with your girl now. Look at the way Lady and Grace got a long. they were always best friends.

I think you'd probably have better luck introducing a girl, although...wit h two boys, you might end up with a fight over her later? I don't know.
I like boy dogs better, personally. But, that's just my preference.

Ask and you shall receive. Here is some pics of her and her each of her parents too.

Rosie is currently our only girl, and we have no experience with boys. We haven't observed any temperamental characteristic s from her. She's as sweet as can be and is usually the one that runs away when another dog is showing aggression.

Awwwww, I love the freckles on her nose and the white on the end of her tail is adorable! :-* :-*
Until Sammy we'd always had girls, too and generally two at a time, so I don't know. I've always heard that it works better with both genders, but we haven't had a problem with 2 girls so I think that it just depends upon the individual dogs and your personal preference. I just don't know if I could resist that pretty little face, though! ;) ;D She's a beauty!

Oh My Goodness Just Go Get Her :-* :-*
I have always had one of each and no troubles I think it depends on the temperment of the pack.

OK! So it's all set now, right? When do you pick her up?? :P ;D ;D

I agree that with having 2 males, your best bet for canine harmony is with a girl.
However, I really do think it depends so much on the individual dog. My mother's female BC is incredibly, well, for lack of a better word, b*&chy, and does not accept any other dog except for my submissive male, Tipper. Tipper accepts any and all beings, canine or human. Jenny, obviously a female, also is accepting of everyone, canine, feline, and human. So while your odds are better with adopting a female, I think it does really depend on the dog.
BTW, she's absolutely adorable!

What a little sweetheart! Go bring her home! ;D
As far as introducing a lady into the house, I don't think that should be a problem. My mother's Shetland Sheepdog is a male and he has taken to Mallory without a problem. In fact they played for half an hour this afternoon. I think he has a crush on her, but she's too young for him. :D ;)

Well as cute as she was I still passed on her and a few others I looked at.I'm just so afraid of messing up the bous relationship.I'll wait until I know for sure the time is right.Besides the longer I wait the longer I can sleep in my own bed,I figured with 3 Saints I would end up sleeping on the floor ;)
