Thank you to Jagersmom for cheering up my otherwise sad mailbox yesterday with my first BPO holiday card!!
Looking forward to the cards makes going to the mailbox so much more fun!!

Ooo...question . Are you guys going to put your BPO usernames on the cards too? I never thought of that! But it's a great idea, especially since their are so many participants. Hmmm...yes...I think i will....Now the question is where to put it...
ETA: Annette also made me realize I was supposed to get address labels for all those 44 cards! Oh well, too late now. The damage is already done! haha

I got my first yesterday too .. Thank You Jodi. I'm just now leaving to go get my cards this afternoon so thank all of you for not making me feel too late. No pics of the dogs .. I'm still trying to get them all to sit near each other .. I need glue or tons of duck tape. I'm very glad my name is short too / user and real.
One question about the Secret Santa .. are we supposed to let the person / pups we're buying for know who it's from. Can you tell I've not done that before. OUCH

Hey, sad news guys, im procrastinatin g and havent gotten my cards made yet. OMG. i have NO motivation. I make my cards every year, and this year, with 2 extra dogs, i have no motivation LOL. i will have them done Asap

lol! I think I'm gonna have to get out the ole glue stick. :) The quickest that my order could have gotten here was 7 days, I want to have my cards out on Monday. Oh well, I'd rather do it by hand anyways! ;D
BTW I can't wait to start opening cards! I'm going to the mailbox every morning now that I know people have already started receiving theirs. :D

You all are welcome! I had time to kill between eating Thanksgiving dinner (at 1130 AM!) and leaving for Best Buy shopping at 11pm. Yes I got everything I wanted from Best Buy too!
I was going to put a pic of Jager, Bacardi and myself in there and I actually got them to sit together. It took four tries at the pic but we got one! Not the best but it's nice.
However, my printer decided to run out of ink and I knew if I didn't drop them in the box on the way out the door they would never go!

I will get mine out to everyone hopefully this weekend- I havent recieved any yet but I am not anxiously awaiting my cards.
This year the subject for my cards will be the 6 little elves, and one little elf is being stubborn and has not opened her eyes. It looks like they are starting open today.
Be patient- I have to wait on mother nature to get this going, and I love the glue stick idea!!!

One other suggestion for those participating in Secret Santa. As a return address, use the address for the person that you are sending the package to, that way it will not get returned to you for any reason it will still go to the person that it is meant to go to... (did that make any sense?? )

I wanted to get a pic with the dogs and do like a post card type of thing, but Daphne is terrified of the camera and NEVER takes a very good pic!!! I have a good one of Axle and Issy (it's in another post I think) that I thought about using even though Axle's not mine!!! I don't know....I'll get it done by this weekend hopefully!!

I went to the united states postal service website and calculated the rate and it should be about .69 to send it to canada. I just used my postal code to calculate the rate.

I got mine today from Liz too. My uncle (lives in Albany) swears he mailed me stuff two weeks ago and I have yet to receive it. Liz mails a card and it gets here in 3 days! Go figure!

I love it- 3 cards under my baby tree so far. I'm so excited about Christmas! My cards will be mailed out Saturday so look out ya'll...hairy cards are on the way. :D

I've got 3 so far! Sooo much fun!! I've got about 25 of mine done and will be mailed tomorrow. I'm gonna sit down on Sunday to knock the rest of them out.

I got mine in the mail late this morning .. well except for AmyLynn's - when I got home from shopping Sadie showed me I must have dropped hers and "ahem" that darn cat musta chewed and slobbered all over it (yeah yeah we know the slobber'er around here) ;) AmyLynn, I'm redoing it (and you're very happy about that) and will get it in tomorrow or by the weekend. *laffin* I got my SS stuff today too so I can get that off this weekend also. :-X

I got my first one from Jagersmom yesterday! I can't wait to have all 40 something cards lined up above the fireplace! And I got paid today so I'm a going shopping! All my stuff should be mailed out on Monday. :D

I sent about half of mine out yesterday. Or was it the day before? I don't even remember :D But some of you will start receiving mine soon! The last half will be mailed out by monday...hopef ully. hahaha So far I've received two cards. From Jagersmom and DaneInsane!!! =) So fun!

I did the Snapfish thing too and was so happy not to have to worry about standing in line at the kiosk to print them or buying envelopes. Yeah. And I got my stamps tonight, the holiday version, so tomorrow they can fly away. :D

Oh why didn't I read this before I started cutting? Actually, I was going to use a picture of Harley but he doesn't photograph well - no eyes and all black body kind of looks like a sad blob. So I bought cards and will include a blob like photo of Harley.
Chanukah starts Tuesday so I'm buying and wrapping and my darling kids have so much going on that I bring the cards with me everywhere in hopes of getting a few done!!
If worse comes to worse I can do them at work on Monday...oops I mean on my lunch hour at work

HEHE We celebrated both holidays in my house so we'd wrap each gift half in hannukah paper and half in christmas paper. It cut out buying double gifts for everyone and made both sides of the family happy we were celebrating "their" holiday. We're going to have dinner all together (those that are still here anyways) on Wednedsay.
As far as the cards: I took mine with me everywhere and finally had to say "No one bother me. I'm writing cards in the living room so unless you want to get put to work, find somewhere else to be!"

Ah yes. The black dog blob. I'm quite familiar with it. You can go even further and do what I tend to do - take a picture of the blob on a dark blue carpet in front of a dishwasher with a black front - and then wonder why you can't seem to get a decent picture of your dog. LOL!
That's her favorite spot to lay, so most of her cute facials and positions are there. It's either try to get a clear shot of something cute or no pic at all.

I don't know who is enjoying this more me or my husband. At this rate I'll have him thinking of another big paw by next year at this time. He's loving the pictures of the pups as I am. Thanks everyone ! I got my SS out yesterday and whoever suggested the reciepient's (sp and I'm not looking it up) address as a return .. thanks ! I got all of mine in the mail today!!! I'm s proud of myself, this is the first time EVER that I've said "I'm sending out Christmas Cards" and actually done it!! I'm apologising right now to those of you who will not be able to read my hand writing, I was enjoying some Christmas Cheer while writing them all out! :D I also got my SS out today as well. But I think I might have botched on the rules of that one... :-[ I put a return address on it, and signed the to/from tags on the gifts... :-[ whoopsy. So sorry to whomever receives from Naja, Moo and I. I'm terrible for keeping secrets.

I'm LOVING all the cards. We're putting all of them up on the wall. I tried convincing my mom to let me bring another BP in the house. The pics are making her oooh and ahhh so we'll see what happens!

I have recieved about 12 so far!!! I am loving th epics. My MIL is comming for x-mas, I have the cards around one of the doorways. I noticed more Newfies on the cards so far...she'll like that. Her little guy is only about 6-7 months.

Ive gotten loads of cards!! I love it!! Usually I get no mail...like 4 bills at the end of the month and thats it...its such a bummer. But everytime I go and check my mail there is a card!! I love this!!
