It was such a beautiful day today, we decided to take Cooper for his first mountain hike in Acadia National Park. We've been taking Cooper to the local dog park since he was just a little pup...but recently we decided that he could probably handle some hikes in ANP. Here are some pics from our hike up Day Mountain (only 583 feet tall, but definitely enough for Cooper and myself since I am still recovering from pneumonia). I didn't get as many pictures as I would have hoped for...but the wonderful weather has just began and there are many more mountains to conquer! ;D

Yes! My husband is outside mowing the lawn, and Cooper is sleeping so soundly through it! :D

Those are great pics. I'm so jealous. I wish we had a place like that around here. I bet he's happily napping now.

He had a great time! Next hike will probably be next weekend...and I will definitely be taking more pictures. And yes, I am feeling much better now...I've never had pneumonia before...and honestly, I hope to never get it again...being sick for 2 1/2 months straight is horrible! At least I am better for the beginning of the nice weather though. :)

Oh, I am so jealous!! It looks like he had a great time! I love Acadia. Used to work for the park service actually, so I've hiked all the trails there many times! I'm hoping to make it up there this summer with Sammy.
I bet he's tired now!
