Hi Everyone--I just wanted to share new pics.  The sable male is Nashoba--7 months in these pics and the black and tan female is Sadie.  She is 6 yr=ears old.  Both are German bred.  Minta

I'm partial to sables...
Is your sable DDR or east  german?
Jasper is from east german lines....
Has anyone tried the supplements to reduce shedding?

I've read that some of the no shed products work...using minerals and vitamins...
I feed Wellness which is pretty high grade food, but Jasper sheds all the time.

Sorry I can't be of help on the shedding thing. I just wanted to say hi and welcome to the group. I'm April and I have an 8 month old great pyrenees named Kiah. My grandparents have always had german shepards. They are wonderful dogs.

Beautifyl dogs.  As for the shedding, I know of at least two people that use Missing Link and claim it really helps with the shedding.  I haven't tried it myself, but that's what I've heard.

Jasper DDR and East German are the same.  My boy is DDR and strong German work lines.  He is one of the most awesome dogs I have ever had and I have been in the breed for over 23 years now.  WooHoo.  Minta

Great looking  Shepherds!  My brother-in-law bought a German Shepherd pup about a year ago.  Her name is Eva.  She has a lot of black on her body, but the tan is beginning to be more prominent around her face and ears and legs now.  I love Shepherds, they are so smart-looking.

beautiful looking dogs...my dogs eat a raw diet and they really only shed when they blow their coats in the spring, summer....fall winter there is minimal fur
