Hi Guys, I know we haven't been on much, but Teddy needs a little of BPO's support today.
He is at the vets to be put under sedation to have his ear flushed. He has chronic ear infection in his one ear and it has gotten so bad that antibiotics, steriods, and topical medications aren't working. You can see the puss oozing out of it, even after a weeks worth od treatment.
The vet has sent a culture away to see what other types of antibiotics we can try, but he thinks we may have a strain that is resistant to antibiotics. Not sure what the next treatment will be. Hopefully the flushing will help.
Just thought I'd ask for a little bit of good thoughts for Teddy today while he's in dreamland... Thanks!

He went through the sedation and flushing just fine. They said he was a star patient (of course he was! LOL). At least he was awake enough to jump into the truck - LOL!
They have given me different medications and drops to try until the cultures come back, but we are pretty sure we are dealing with Pseudomonas otitis. YUK!
Anyone else have experience with Pseudomonas otitis?
