My baby boy P-Nut a 5 1/2 year old Doberman pincher woke up a normal day, we had coffee and breakfast and as I was watching the 6am news I heard a horrible sound, I ran outside to find my baby in the road fighting for his life. He had broken all training and fences after 5 1/2 years of never.... never going to the place he was so welled trained not to go. But as my world flipped upside and out I rushed him to the trauma center in Latham NY, he lived another 12 hours and then left my life forever-- I cry every day, how could this happen, my quiet road in the country, a well trained dog, but yet, the sight of a cat after years of training took away everyting. Please listen to my hurt, my P-Nut never disobeyed, and for 5 sec. he did, my life will never be the same...I cry as I write.....

I'm so very sorry--this chokes me up. I cannot imagine the utter disbelief, the immense pain, the hurt, the loss you're suffering with right now.
Rest in Peace to your beloved P-Nut.

Oh, goodness :(
I know that we can tell you "it'll be ok the hurt will pass" until you turn blue, but that doesn't change the fact that you're hurting a grieving now. All I can say is that you did your best, and P-nut knows that you did. It hurts alot right now, and the sadness doesnt go away, but you get through it. One day, I promise you, you will wake up and not cry thinking about him, and those days will come more frequently until you can think of him and laugh at the funny memories. We are all here for you when you need us, and many of us know how it felt when we lost our precious friends. But just remember the funny times, keep something of his like his collar and leash, favorite toy, or bowl and keep a memory box. It really helped me when I lost my Sait Bernard Remy. P-nut will be waiting at the rainbow bridge for you one day, ready to greet you with a wagging tail. And don't let anyone convince you that "its a dog, you'll get over it" because it just means they haven't been blessed the way you have.
