I will post photos as soon as I can download them. I knew that Dixie did not win winner bitch yesterday because of me. I could just tell that the judge wanted to give it to her but I had just done so many thing wrong with the gait, stacking, and such. My mind went blank and everything I had read and they you told me was gone. So after the group, I had some many people tell me that if she had just had a little more ring time she would have won best of breed. Since I knew that between the lines they were telling me to find a handler, so I did. I got Barry Elliott our of MO, to take her into the ring. He worked with her for about an hour before the group today and had three of his groomers go over her, like in the movie "Edward Scissorhands". She looked out of this world, they knew all the tricks. One of the other owner pulled her do out just as they were going in the ring. I was told she did this to lower the points? And to think I was happy for her yesterday that Dixie was in the show so that there were points for her girl when she won class. I was told over and over that she had a great looking coat, as was such a pretty little bitch.
Barry also told me that she is in heat, has been for about 2 days from what he could tell. I have been checking her everyday and not blood. I guess she is just keeping herself very clean. I am even take her to the vet in the next two day just to be sure. She has been a little moody!
They are now trying to get me to let them handle her for the Fl. shows. Dixie is not going anywhere with out her Mommy. There is so much to think about I need time just to take it all in.
I am going to call the kennel club in the morning just to make sure of the point count. I think it was for two points. If the other owner pulled two dogs out it was for one point. If she had not pulled the other girl pyr it would have been a major for three points.
I was so happy I almost wet my pants, and I am only kind of kidding. The whole weekend was so much fun, thanks to my BPO pals helping me out. I will most more after I have had some food and or sleep, I am about to fall over.

That's wonderful!!! Dixie could be having a silent heat like Kiah did. I did not see any blood either, but her private was swollen. I'm so very proud of the two of you!

No harm - no foul, Lisa, on the shoes... Thats the great thing about hikers.... they wipe down well ;) .
It was great to meet you, Melissa and Brandon and most specially, Dixie and Sugar Bear. I'm glad I was there to see Dixie get her Best of Breed award, she truly desrved it. Since Sugar Bear wasn't able to compete in the ring I'm going to suggest that we award him the smokey-bear award, as being most likely to help put out a forest fire.... ;D

I wish you were there, but I so understand. Ask Melissa I looked like a clown. My time in the ring is almost a blank, I did not remember anything. Good thing I did not know enough not to go in. I am so very glad that Barry went in the ring with her today. But I must say it does make me a little crazy that the other lady pulling a dog cost us at least one point. Guess I should get some sleep before I fall over.

BIG BIG Congrats!!!...I am so proud of you & Dixie!!...I'm beat so I'll leave it at that :)...I took in 2 foster kittens tonight & finally have them settled in...I am off to get the kids & myself ready for bed too!

Guys thanks so much for posting the photos, the good wishes, and just being there for us! I still have that same look on my face. My head is spinning not sure if its the cold meds or what a great time I had at the show. Time to go get some work done so I can pay entry for the next show ;)
