I am thinking that since this month is flying by that maybe the first weekend in February would be good...like Feb. 4th. A new location might be fun to try too....it should be cooler weather so we are up for the snow or beach. :) Let us know what you guys think.

I'm putting a vote in for San Diego dog beach in Del mar. Being a first time dog owner that's the only fun spot I know!
It would be great fun though to see them all romping around in snow.

I really want to go but the 4th of February I will be in Cabo and Sunday I will be at sea on my way TO San Diego. Eventually our schedules will mesh....they just have to.

I have no jobs scheduled that weekend as of yet (although many don't call me until a few days before).
I would love to do a snow meet, but beach is good too. I'd love to go to Del Mar b/c it's close to me, but I know that might be a drive for some of you.
Hey, I just thought of something..... .............a friend of mine has a cabin up at Big Bear.......... .lol. They get lots of snow up there. ;)

Is Del Mar in San Diego or close by??

Hmmm.......... .let me see if I can explain.
Del Mar is not as far as San Diego......... .......but further south than LA. They have horse races there, so that's how most people have heard of it. San Diego's another 15 or so mintues past Del Mar (depending on how fast you drive ;) )
The dog beach there is alright. Not huge, but big enough........ .......and the water is far enough away from the road for me not to worry. My guys love it there. Here's a website that has an okay map that shows where Del Mar is (dog beach is pretty much right where Via De La Valle meets Camino Del Mar (coast hwy))

Is the playdate still on? I work Saturdays now and will need to schedule the day off. I would love to meet all of you and your furkids! I can only access BPO on the weekends so if there is a set date and location feel free to email me the info. Thanks!

The 4th works for Shakes, Tom and I. We could certainly make it down to Del Mar, but i do really love the HB park and the Cafe we went to. And Hb is closer for a lot of people. Tom and i would not be able to make it if it were up at the snow, no car that i trust to get there and back. I hope this is still happening!!!

Cowboy, Chester and I are in. Huntington Beach is great and everybody knows where it is....but there's also that dog park near the Park Bench Cafe where we all had lunch.....
I'm open, though, to anyplace you all want to meet! The Newfs need their buds!!! ;D ;D

Bella gets her last DHPP booster on the 10th and then rabies vaccine soon after. Then we can come play! :)

I'd love to get together with the doggies, but I don't want to hold up the show. I'll be in Texas for a job interview on the 10th (my schedule is crazy right now!). Maybe we can have another (or a mini?) get together in March or late February? Then we could share the puppy breath :D (and the puppy teeth...).

After many (too many to count!) years of work, I'll finish my PhD in the next month or so! :o I want to teach (chemistry) at a small-ish university. This year I applied for positions all over the west and midwest. On the 10th, I have my last interview, in Abilene; I used to live in San Antonio and really loved it. I already have an offer in Oklahoma that I am really excited about, so that is where we will most likely go. I want to check out all my options though. :)

Samson, Remi & I can't make it as early as 10:30.
We will be in Riverside in the morning for our last training/observation session for Therapy Dog Registration.
We wouldn't be available till the afternoon, and I'm sure you guys will be long gone by then.

How many BPOers are from San Diego? We could do a mini meet in Del Mar sometime....on a Sunday? My time is more limited and we only have one car, so I need to stay local.

I'm a maybe. I need to call my ride (since they have a nice big SUV) to see if they will drive since I hate driving north (towards LA).
I'll know for sure by Fri. Sooooo I guess we should figure out if this is a sure thing or a no go.

Next month, tom won't be able to make it, but shakes and i will be ther eas long as it isn't the 4th. (tom is having surgery again, so he will be bed ridden mostly)

I don't think it did, but if anyone wants to meet this Sunday I will be at either dog beach or the park in Del Mar. I am currently meeting one other dog owner but the more the merrier!!! :D
