Welcome to BPO! I love Pit Bulls and Neos are awesome too! But, I really don't think you should be breeding... It's not something where you can put a male and female together and wow puppies. First you should be breeding by standard and not just by size, do you know how healthy your girl is? I'm not to familiar with Neos but I'm pretty sure she should be tested. Is she a champion? You really should only breed the best of each breed so that the puppies are better.

Here are some links, you should check out.

dober_gurl put it very well, Pastor John!

Most of us here at Big Paws believe in responsible breeding with the intention of bettering the breed. We've all dealt with rescuing pure bred dogs. (Well, most of us anyway) Pure bred doesn't mean that a dog is immune to the fate that any other dog is susceptible to. For example, look at the 11 Pitties that you had to rehome when the going got tough. Life and unexpected circumstances can happen to anyone. But, most of us here believe that a dog is for life.

Hang out here and learn, Pastor John. There is a wealth of knowledge to be had. But, you are very unlikely to find anyone with a dog for you to breed yours with.

Thank you.  Both of you, Yes I know that I have not had Neo's for a long time But I fell as if you both went the wrong way with my message. I am not looking for a male just to breed Bocca with. I am looking for a male to add to our family. I plan on getting the best that I am able to at this time. I have been breeding for along time. I didnt run a puupy meal . I had no more than 1 or 2 litter a year if that. And I had lines like Razor's Edge, Greylines, Gotti, Watchdog, all of the best. So when ever I decide to breed her which will not be for atleast 1-2 years from now. By then I do hope to have learned enough to do the right thing. I have not yet got her papers back yet But she is FIC and ACA So I think she has a pretty good back ground.

Well, we of course didn't mean to offend, Pastor John. You can understand our confusion. You haven't been around here, and your first post is about a male to breed with. All of us here love dogs very much and our hackles go up a bit when we suspect irresponsible breeding.

Why don't you hang out a bit and get to know us and learn as much as you can. There are some very experienced and knowledgeable people around here.

I still don't think you should breed, I really think only the best should be bred, it's the only way to produce healthy pups! FYI Razor's Edge was a bad line! You do know that about pet overpopulation? Stay here and learn, everyone here loves big dogs and are very friendly. Really, if you love your dog, I think the best you can do for her is spay her.

As an example of what Megan is talking about, just go to petfinders and you'll see that there are a zillion Neos in rescue.

No problem Nicole, I didn't get Bocca to breed her and there is a chance that I might never. But I don't think it's right for someone to try to make a statement that I shouldn't if i want to. Yer Razor's Edge had someproblems but you can't take away from how awesome they are also. And to better the breed I did understand not to contieue to make the mistake that some did by breeding so tight with the same blood. But I think the problem came from to much Kairo blood not being mixed with the Knuckles blood with would of kept everything pretty tight (Just to let you know that i do know a little about breeding to better the breed. Chelle, Bocca is maybe the smartest dog that I have ever had. Real obedient. She is so layed aback. House broken Loves the kids. Follows me where ever I go. A awesome guard dog I fell so much better when I leave the house now becuase of her being here with my wife Terrez and 10 year daughter and 6mthold daughter. The pitties were very loyal but I think she might have them beat. I had said I would never own another breed outside of a APBT. I now fell that was a inmuture statement that I made. But now I think I am going to make it again about the Neo lol ;D We really Love her. I think if you take out time and find the right Neo for you it might work. Before we made our decision to get her. We (the whole family) drove two hours 2 different times to send time with her and her family. And then we felt that she was the right baby for us because of how she took to us and even more how much she was loved and wanted to be loved.

Hi George, Welcome to BPO.  I have two Great Pyrenees that are the loves of my life (well after hubby that is).  I have just started to show my little girl.  You will find that for most of us our fur-babies are every bit as important as anyother family member, sometime more so. We have had some "puppy mill- BYB" type people join just looking for a dog to mate with, any dog would do.  So when we get the looking to mate question we all try to count to 10 before we post but it is just because we love these big paws so very much.  Behind every post there is a story of dogs loved and lost or dog resuced from very sad lives.  Once you have had a little time here you will see that we are all very helpful and will love every story and photos about your pretty girl.

Welcome George.  Your Bocca is beautiful!  She looks like she is a very happy little girl, for sure.  I'm Cricket and I live in south AL and am currently being owned by 2 danes and 1 pyr.  If I ever get another breed, I would have to seriously look at mastiffs.  We recently lost "our" (actually, our son's but we raised it and cared for it as our own) APBT.  I have to agree that pitties are some fabulous dogs.  Beaudroux was an incredible dog and a real ambassador to the breed.  We will have a hole in heart forever for him.

Very well put, Lisa. George, your Baby is gorgeous and Neos are one of my favorites. My daughter insists that a Neo will be our next fur-kid..hehehe..but there is a Saint coming in June, so, we'll see about that. In any case, Lisa said it very nicely. We all get very nervous around here if we smell something other than good intentions. Glad to have you aboard, and I hope that we'll get to see more pics of Bocca!

Hello and welcome George!

My name is Chris, and I am owned by Keiko, a husky/shep mix, and Gunther, a great dane.  Can't wait to hear more about Bocca and see more pics of her.  She sounds like a special girl.

then I do hope to have learned enough to do the right thing. I have not yet got her papers back yet But she is FIC and ACA So I think she has a pretty good back ground.
Well ACA and FIC are huge puppy mill papers! This girl is a beautiful pet but no where near breeding quality. AKC is the only legitimate registry in the USA.Here is a link that explains more on false registries.
http://winddreamer.net/labfiles/alternative_dog_registries.html
You said you were not a puppy miller. Only puppy miller's and Back yard breeders breed with the registry's your dog is registered under. Please do not consider breeding her. I do not see where she could better the breed.
