There are three Irish Wolfhounds in Kali's obedience class. I finally went with my brother so I could meet them. Two are ten months old and there names are Toby and Gandhi. They are littermates and very attached. She also has an old boy Finn who is the best mannered dog I have ever met. I helped her bring in the dogs and I got Finn who was such a good boy. Then I babysat the pups who are already over my hip and I'm 5'4". They have seperation anxiety and it was my job to try to keep them quiet. Gandhi the more excitable one didn't want to stop whining. But Toby would lie down and stick his head on my lap when I was crouching next to him. They were such sweeties...I want one now more than ever. Even though the two pups were crazy when playtime came. Their owner wrote a children's book, shows them and has a big van to keep them all in. She's also going to be in a parade with them on Sunday. She also takes them out to the woods to run for an hour and a half every day.

Ooooh, how fun! I don't think I've ever seen one in person. (not that I can remember anyway........ and I think I would remember that)

Mark's best friend's mom used to breed IW's. So I used to get to hang out with gangs of them all the time! They're super sweet and cool! That's cool that you got to hang out with them.

The funniest part is their mom is barely over 5ft and she's a lightweight like me. I don't know how she does it. She actually has at least four.
