Hi, my oldest friend here is 10 years old and he still dows not know who is he...
Every vet that looked at him or a person that knew something about dogs said he was a mixed spitz.
So if any of you would be king to share your opinions of what mixture he could be, we would be sooooo thankful. ::) ::)

He looks sort of border collie-ish....or in that family.

Hmmmm......... ..except for that last pic, he doesn't look much like a spitz to me. I agree could be some border collie in there. I love his face. :)

In fact, the main reason why people conect him to a spitz iz his white thick fur and his curled tail, exactly as a spitz. But now that you mentioned it, he does share the intelligence with a border collie :-) :D

IMO:
I see Border Collie or Australian Shepard (fur-type & spots), maybe a little Spitz (tail) too.
Does he enjoy the snow? (It looks like it from your pics.)
He's really cute and it looks like he has quite the personality! ;)

In the pictures his coat looks like a pyrs. Does he blow his coat at all? Seems to me he could be a border collie/pyr mix. Just a guess!

He looks like a Border Collie (1/2 ish?) and maybe some chow in there, that would explain the tail set, coat and face. how big is he? he looked way to small to be pyr, but i dunno. he certainly is a beautiful boy, whatever he is. sometimes i wish you could just KNOW what their parents were, you know? so frustrating... ..hope some of this jibber jabber helps, just my 2 cents!

i forgot to say this, but he DOES NOT look like any sort of spitz to me. certainly not a finnish....peo ple who looked at him most likely thought he was part American Eskimo Dog, which used to be called the American Spitz. i don't agree (no offense!).

how big is he?
He's around 15inches tall,a bit more, but he's in the big paw gang thanks to his weight - 60 pounds!
But he's not fat, he's just big-boned ::) ;D ;D
Thanks all of you for your opinions, he never really liked being compared to a fluffy american spitz, anyway. He thinks he's just way more macho 8)

well, he sure is a great looking dog. that last pic you posted really makes him look like a BC. we'll call him a heinz 57 dog. 57 breeds! or 31 flavors!
