i agree he's a St Bernard..Our Maggie's very slim and when we have her shaved for summer everyone laughs and thinks she looks like a grey hound :-\

Hi  If i remember right Maggie stopped growing around 1 year..  She did not grow as fast after 7-8 months she slowed down. She was around 110 pound at a year.  She is know around 119 -125.  She will get thinner in the summer months.  Like me fatter in the winter months. ;)

I'm sure maggie is just one that the loud sounds scare.  My husband has alway had a st..  He said that their females were scared of storms also.  I just feel so bad for her and wish i could do something to help her get over her fears.  Arlene

I know our vet said that we should make sure she got her exercising 2- 3 time a day. And  to always have food out for her to eat when she was a puppy.  Because they grow so fast.  She still has food out all day and has never gotten fat.  Maggie is a very energetic st.  She will chase anything that runs... We are on the farm so she gets lot of exercise... But i would ask the vet...

Just wondering if anyone's big dog his a fear of loud noise.  We can be outside and if she hear the mower, lightning.  She is gone in a flash to the house.. I know that if i am going to mow the yard,  i need to put her in the house.. And when we have storms she will almost push us out of bed to get under the covers...( or between us)  I wonder if something happen when she was a puppy.  Before we got her. :-\
