I also signed this moron's guestbook, but I noticed that after you submit your comment, that it gives you a little message stating that your response will be given to this idiot for approval... I sent another one to him telling him to be a "real man" an post all comments, good or bad.  Let's just see if he has the guts to do it.  What on earth do these people think that they are doing ??? I don't care if it is kids or babies, the only thing that should ridden is a horse or pony.... NOT DOGS.  Please, let me meet this idiot walking down the street and just let him try and ride my dog:  He will ride an ambulance to the hospital trying to get my foot removed from his butt >:( >:( >:(

Great Pyrenees Discussions / Re: Drool
« on: September 13, 2005, 10:13:23 am »
That has to be one of the best pics I have seen yet with what I affectionately call a "shoestring of love"... and the look on his face is absolutely priceless!!!! I cannot wait for my baby girl to grow up....  I just tell ppl that the best way that I found to deal with the drool, get a small dog!.... for some reason, my corgi seems to think that the "shoestrings" on Eowyn are something evil, and therefore must seek and destroy those evil demons... Hence: No more drool.  That remedy might not be for everyone, but it works in this household. :D

The easiest thing that I did with Eowyn when I first got her, i just let her have the pinch lead on, and drag the leash around with her.... that way, when I would go to pick up the leash, it was not something that she was scared of.....Then, once she was use to having it on, I would pick up the leash, and "coax" her with gently tugs to the direction that I wanted her in.  When walking, I just did not let her have enough lead on the leash to get away from me.... That way, she knew, when she was on the leash, that Mommy was in control of the walk, not her.... She was allowed to come, but would know by the "pinch" when she was getting out of line or not where she was supposed to be... That way, there was never any scolding coming from me.... she did her own "scolding"... When she was in correct position.... she could look up at me directly into my eyes and receive praise... when she was out of position.....P inch... but no yell, scold, or fight.... she would just return right back to my side with a "whoops" look on her face....  give that a try... and let me know... I hope that it works for you as well as it has for me.   :D

Great Pyrenees Discussions / Re: How often can Pyr's get baths?
« on: September 12, 2005, 12:42:43 pm »
I usually bathe Eowyn about once every 2 months... as for the drooling, I just consider it the "shoestrings of love"  We have a special bib for her when company is coming over, but other than that; the corgi usually helps keep them in check, because for some reason, when she sees Eowyn drooling, she feels the need to attac the "shoestring" Hence---- I don't have to clean it up! Problem solved

What a beauty!  I can't wait to see how my "little" one turns out.... Your dog is breathtaking.. .. Like I said, I have no idea what attracted me to the breed, but whatever it was.... it was magic!  This is the best dog that I have ever owned in my life!  Thank you for the pictures! they were awesome!  :D Can't wait for the snow time here, I think that Eowyn is going to just adore it
