General Board for Big Dogs with Big Paws / Uh so about that hole...
« on: April 13, 2006, 01:33:55 pm »
Ace has started digging holes in our walls.  So he has gone back to the crate while we are gone.  Then today Sunny was digging in the wall.  I'm not really sure what to do about this.  I mean they have tons of bones tons of toys to play with and still there are holes in our walls.  *sigh*  any suggestions?

Medical Conditions & Diseases / Sunny's Eye
« on: February 24, 2006, 01:12:40 pm »
This morning when I went to let Sunny outside his eye had yellowish green goopy stuff.  I cleaned it with a warm cloth, and later it is there again.  What should I do???  I looked for scratches and didn't see any.

LOL :) thanks!  I gave them a good bath yesterday scrubbing them and brushing them.  I let them outside this morning when I went to let them in Sunny had dirt falling off of him from his paws LOL Ace wasn't so bad, but they both had to be rinsed off really well! :)  Ace is eating my husbands shoe so I have to go :)

I haven't been around lately due to my life getting pretty busy at work and working on knitting a baby blanket for my future nephew ;)  I wanted to drop in though see how everyone is doing and post a few pics of Sunny and Ace from today...

Those are awesome!  I've been on ebay and bought something and then they charge just as much as the price of the bid.  THEN you get it and the shipping is 83 cents.  Always makes me so mad...so now I check to see how much shipping is and the feedback of the seller before buying anything.  You can look at ebay and see if you can find beds similar to the ones you're going to sell and see what they are asking.  If your price is a little lower and your shipping is lower they'll ship before the others. :)  Just my opinon.

LOL They were smiling for the camera LOL :) its hard to get a good pic of the both of them since once always wants to sniff the lens.  :) ;D

I'm stopping by the library tomorrow to get some books :)  hopefully they'll have a lot of the books everyone was telling me about.  Ace slept through the night again and only woke up once and it was just before my alarm went off.  I'm told after I left and put them back to bed he cried and cried. So we're going to leave them out to play instead of putting them back to bed for an hour before my husband wakes up. :)

TRUST ME-LOL- I feel your pain! :)  We are currently trying to get Ace to calm down and not cry all the time when he is in his crate.  He just wants out to play most of the time, but sometimes he has to use the bathroom.  So the first time he cries we get him to go outside, but if he cries again after just going outside we know he just wants to play.  :)  Everyone helped me find a solution to our problem with a blanket placed over the crate.  He hasn't cried since *except this morning 5mintues before my alarm went off*  When we first got him we tried everything and he got better, but then he got worse again.  So I came here and took a mixture of suggestions and found what worked for us. :)  We're all really happy and rested!

I'm so sorry to hear this!  I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

Update...we put the blanket over the crate and kept them both awake for a few hours before they went to bed.  So they were tired when they got in.  Ace wasn't thrilled to go in at first, whimpered a little bit, but he went in and passed out.  He didn't make a sound all night long, and when my alarm went off he still didn't whine.  I was so happy when I woke up I thought I would weep tears of joy.  AHAHAHA.  I think we've found a routine for the time while Sunny can sleep then be put to bed Ace can't so we're going to be watching him very closely to make sure he isn't sleeping.  Probably make training two hours before bedtime and play time an hour before that way he's nice and tired. LOL  Thanks everyone I'm sure there will be more restless nights, but you all have been very helpful and words can't say how much I appreciate it. :)

That's what Sunny and Ace like to do!  They like play at first but then they do ok as long as you have one a little bit in front of the other.
