Sounds like you have quite a brood! I wish I had enough space for more.  We recently moved to a house that had a smaller yard and it already takes two of us to walk our two in the morning and evenings. When we retire we would like to move to an area with a lot of land which would accommodate more fur babies.

Hi Kay, nice to meet you! I'm new too.  My name is Phyllis and I'm mom to Shadow (lab mix) and Sunny (goldendoodle).

Hi Annie, nice to meet you! Your babies are just precious! I wish I could get Sunny and Shadow close enough together to get a good picture but so far that has been an unattainable goal.

Nice to meet you Kat! I'm meeting several fellow Texan's here. I LOVE your avatar, lol! My little brother loves to scuba dive.  What kind of fur babies own you?  Would love to see pictures!

Thank you for the welcome and I'm happy to meet you too. Had it not been for the rescue post I would not have found this board. It just breaks my heart about the puppies.  I'm so happy though to hear that they were surrendered to a rescuer and not sent to a shelter or worse -- sold on the side of the road! Sunny, is such a sweet girl, our chow mix, Ginger, past away at 11 years old a year ago in June and it took me a whole year before I could even think of getting another dog.  But my older dog Shadow seemed to be lost. We don't have children so we pretty much live for our fur babies.

Thanks to all! Of course I'm bias and think my babies are exceptional but I so enjoy seeing photos of all the other wonderful dogs here. You see and hear of so many dog who are in need of good homes and it's very heartwarming to read the stories of dogs who are so loved by their families here.

I found this board while posting about a rescue on the rescue board here and now I've become addicted to this site, lol! I'm so glad I found this place. I love talking to people who love their dogs as much as I love mine.

My name is Phyllis, I'm from Texas and we have a 6 year old lab (Shadow), who I think has a little pit bull in him, and I recently adopted a goldendoodle (Sunny) who is 6 mos. old. Our local rescue has recently taken in several goldendoodles and when I learned they were Sunny's siblings (one litter apart) I was led to get involved in helping them find forever homes.

My dh and I have no children so our fur babies make up our family.  I'm so glad to find an on-line community such as this.

Thanks for the welcome! I'm so glad I found this board. The picture is of my boy, Shadow, he weighs 65 lbs. but my Goldendoodle who will be 6 mos. Tuesday is already weighing in at 50 lbs.! I'm afraid she will be as big as he is, lol!

I didn't realize I could attach more than one picture! Here's one of me and my teddy bear, Sunny, when she was 4 mos. old.

Introduce Yourself to the Forum / Are my dog bigs enough to post here?!
« on: October 15, 2006, 07:24:24 am »
Hi, my name is Phyllis, I live in Texas and am the mom to Shadow, our 6 year old lab, Sunny our 6 mo. old golden doodle and Princess, our 15 year old cat, who has very small paws by the way. Are my dogs considered big enough to post here? I've been lurking a few days on this website. I recently posted on the rescue board as I am a volunteer for an all breed rescue group here in my community.  Anyway, I've been reading some of the posts in the general forum and you all seem like a really great community, so I wanted to introduce myself.  My dogs are big to me but some of you "really" have some ginormous dogs here.  I'm not sure if we are considered big enough to meet and greet the big boys!
