Great Dane Discussions / Re: The News.....
« on: August 05, 2007, 05:52:44 pm »
Ive been a bad girl and havent been posting lately, but I have popped in and tried to catch up on things Ive missed here and there.. that said.. Im not passing up this one..  :)
First of all Im really sorry about the Dane baby.. things usually happen for a reason and it sounds like this is no exception!! ;)
I myself am no stranger to peoples comments through the years whenever they discovered I was going to have another child. When I was just pregnant with my third which would have meant a 3 1/2 yr old, 2 1/2 yr old and a new born, I was told at 7 wks pregnant that it was twins  :o
ok..no problem.. I always felt the same way as you.. Id be a professional mommy.. THEN when the twins were 1 1/2 I had my 'ooopps' baby (though I dont dare tell him that) so I had 5 kids under 5 yrs old... unfortunately by the time the little guy was 1 I had had it was 'daddy' and decided to venture out on my own as a 'happy mom' instead of an 'unhappy wife'.. it doesnt end there.. :) I was very fortunate to meet a wonderful man who couldnt have chidren of his own that was willing to take on a wife and 5 kids under 8.. so the story goes.. Guess what? Apparently he had just never been with a rabbit before and we have since had 2 more children together.. (on purpose) but I am now triple tied to avoid any more ooopps.. enough is enough ;)
So needless to say I got alot of "oh my!! 5?" "Wow 6?" "You're kidding me 7?"
"dont you have a TV?" from friends, family and strangers.. and it also happens to be one of the reasons I havent been around BPO lately..forget about the 2 Danes, they're the easy part..
Good luck with your adventure..Im sure it will all go fine..It only takes ONE to drive you crazy.. the extras just make it more interesting.. ;) :) ;D

Maybe it is the age..Maggie will be one on July 4th.. she would do dumb stuff for attention sometimes but since we got Faye shes been great (very well distracted).. THEN just the past few days shes back to stealing pillows, blankets, rolling up in the runner trying to chew it up..I mean right to my face..shes not even trying to sneak.. and you know she knows for heavens sake.. just makes you wonder what the heck they're thinking... ???

Try and meditate or something..
you've got hormones raging like a volcano waiting to rip (aahh memories).. and it always seems like everything happens just to mess up your day..ten billion things on your mind and now just one more...
it will work out! But absolutely keep calling that Drs office as suggested..
the squeaky wheel gets the oil..
I was hormonal for practically 12 years straight..its amazing I have a husband or any friends left.. ;D

Kelly you are sooo close to the big day!! That is awesome..I am so excited for you and Eric..You should be resting mentally and physically, preparing for the day.. once in a life time you will have your first child.. Its all about YOU right now..period.

You have certainly been a loving and supportive daughter. You have the added bonus of having a wonderful husband who is behind you in this difficult situation. You have both done everything in your power to make it work. The rest is up to your Mom..period.

From my own experience and that of dozens of people Ive known, mothers(or to be fair lets say parents)all over the world, Im sure, whether they have been medically diagnosed with an illness (of any kind) or not, have an uncanny ability of making their children feel guilty at times (JMHO though, not intended to offend anyone)Im sure Ive done it myself.. :-[

You're the MOM now..and you're going to be great at it..we cant wait to hear your story next week and to see lots of pictures!!!

Hmmm, good question!  The great news is that by indulging nightly, you have less germs in your mouth, throat, esophagus and stomach.

HAHHA!
Does that mean I don't even need to brush my teeth? LOL
Dont tell my kids that.. :)

General Board for Big Dogs with Big Paws / The Poop Rules
« on: June 20, 2007, 12:19:07 am »
Ok everyone.. what are the poop rules in your house ?
(For your dogs...not the humans, that would be another post entirely)
Do they have go in one area of the yard? or are they free to go whenever and where ever the spirit moves them? hence the need for a daily poop patrol..
Now Im not asking what you prefer Id prefer they poop on the toilet since they're tall enough (well Mags is anyway) Im asking what is your acceotable practice? Just having a little debate with DH (who would follow them around with a shovel so they could go right on it if he could)
