Same here, if I want to catch a little nap, or the kids are sleeping in by chance, I have to take Phoebe downstairs and block off the stair case so she cant lay on the landing and "guard" the house.  She loves the sound of her own voice.  What works sometimes outside is if I just say to her "do you wanna go in" and then she will lie down and stop.  I have learned to live with it, my DH on the other hand it drives him nuts.

SOOOO CUTE!!!! Are you keeping any of them?  Do they all have homes already?  Keep the pictures coming.

I take Phoebe in every 6-8wks to be groomed and I have had no problems I can't say that she enjoys it but she tolerates it.
I just dont have the equipment to get the job done.  I do brush her here at home but leave the heavy grooming for the groomer.  I pay $65 to have her done.  When I do pick her up alot of the time she is not 100% dry but I dont mind.

That is so funny I need one of those.  Phoebe is the biggest chicken, we joke that she is supposed to be a big brave guard dog.

My Phoebe has a sock fettish too.  We had my nephew over for a sleepover this weekend and she got ahold of one of his socks and destroyed it.

I sure am! The SW corner, although I'm moving to Northern MN next year (getting married, and he lives there). I take it you are as well (Viking Lady)?

Where are you now?  I'm the only family member of my entire family (aunts/uncles/granparents/cousins/etc) that lives outside the state of MN............ .LOL.

Mostly they live around a town called Buffalo, although my parents, sister and brother live in and around Minneapolis.  ;)  I love it there and miss it dearly.
Funny we are about 8 miles from Buffalo great town.

General Board for Big Dogs with Big Paws / Ear? (medical)

I have noticed the past couple of days the Phoebe has been shaking her head and it is not something she has done in the past her ears look fine, no discharge, not smelly, just pink and clean.  I was wondering if I should take her in, if she maybe has the beginning of a ear infection?
OR maybe all her barking has finally taken its toll on her ears too. HEHE!

Phoebe makes what we call "piggy noises" when we pet her under her chin, and she has done that since we brought her home.

I took these today Phoebe loves to smell the flowers on my porch.

We just came back from a weekend of camping with Phoebe.  I noticed that she is very picky about who she allows to approach and pet her.  She loves the kids and other dogs but she seems to be more cautious when it comes to adults mostly men and teenage boys.  She will back away and bark not a aggressive bark she doesnt bare her teeth.  There are some women she will do this with like my husbands sister who was with us she was very leary of her all weekend I dont get it!  I know not to nurture it so I ignore it other than a simple NO BARK! or I just keep walking.  I try and tell the people the no touch, no look, no talk..but that never seems to be followed by the humans.  Phoebe hates to be looked in the eyes and approached she feels threatened is all I can conclude.  Any suggestions I know socialization is huge and this was her first weekend in the camping environment and I need to take her on more trips to the pet store and parks. Sorry so long.

She is sooo beautiful!!

She reminds me alot of Miles. Miles LOVES the water...as long as he can touch the bottom. Does she dig at the water and make it splash like crazy? haha Miles enjoys that too.

That pic of Phoebe on the pier is sooo pretty. I love it.
She will splash at the rocks on the bottom of the lake.  I swear she is retarded.  She makes me laugh.
