General Board for Big Dogs with Big Paws / Leo Just Got Attacked By the Neighbors Dog!!!!

Okay, I am shaking and crying right now because I was walking Leo to the mailbox (on leash of course) when the neighbors mutt (I'm not sure what) walked over to us and, after sniffing my happy, tail wagging boy, attacked him in the neck area! Poor Leo tried to get away and jumped behind me and the stupid dog kept coming after him growling with drool hanging from his mouth! Leo wouldn't let me touch the spot for a while but I just managed to separate the fur and it's beat red and raw, but the skin isn't broken. Marty, of course, is out of town but he thinks I should go tell the owner what happened. I'm so non confrontationa l and they are really nice, but they have that dog off leash all the time and now I feel like I can't walk my dog while he's out! I definitely want to calm down a bit before I say something to them so I don't ruin any neighbor relationships. Am I being to picky and what should I say when I do talk to them? Help! I'm a basket case right now!

Okay, Nicker! These are for you so you will call off the hit man! Leo was not amused by me taking these, but the guys does nothing but sleep and I can't get any intersting pics of him. He's now snoring loudly in the other room after this exhausting photo shoot!

I had a bad day at work today! So... I quit my job! But the really funny thing was that on my home after I cleaned out my office I thought to myself "Now I can hang out with my pals on BPO more"! I'm actually feeling really free now and about all the things I can do with the kids and Leo this summer. This is a good thing, but I'm still in shock that I actually did it. Now I can further my addiction!

Saint Bernard General Discussions / I Think Someone Switched My Dog!

Leo is acting VERY strange today! Earlier today I went out to wash my car and let him come outside with me and he just started walking away and ignoring me when I called him back. So I went after him into the neighbors yard and he started walking faster, totally trying to act like he couldn't hear me! He has never done this before. Then, as I was doing the dinner dishes he sneaks up behind me and snatches some chicken wings out of the garbage really sneaky like 
Of course as soon as I saw him he dropped them and acted like I was the crazy one! To top it all off as I was brushing him on the front porch a few minutes ago our little neighbor boy had to go home and as he walked by Leo and said goodbye to him with a little pat, Leo tried to mouth him! This is scary for a little kid because Leo is as tall as they are when he's sitting down! I've never laid a hand on him for fear that I would make him mean, but I was so tempted to swat him 
I am just baffled and I feel like I don't even know him right now! Come to think of it, my skin son is acting a bit strange too... Maybe they are lacking attention because mommy is on BPO all day and night...

Hi Everyone! My name is Natalie and I just came across this great site and already addicted! I'm sitting here listening to my snoring St. Bernard, Leo, who is 2 years old. I'm excited to meet some Saint owners and compare stories and this sounds like a great place to do that! Well, have a great day Everyone!
