Boxer Discussions & Pictures / New puppy is here!
« on: November 30, 2005, 08:43:15 am »
When I joined this board, I had just learned that my boxer Gunner had cancer. Within 2 months, he was gone. I said I'd never get another boxer. . but here is Jordan. She is 10 weeks old tomorrow. So much smaller than Gunner though, not really a Big Paws. At 6 weeks he weighed 14 lbs, and she only weighed 7.11 at the same age.

Anyway- so far so good, she's a great puppy. . .Here she is, playing with the gang.  :D

Helpful Groups & Dogs in Need / Pictures of my new foster- any ideas??
« on: October 21, 2005, 08:41:48 am »
Hey everyone-

I had taken a break from fostering for awhile- but looks like we're back in! I visited this girl at the Humane Society a few times before taking in her in as a foster. She is gorgeous, but what breeds do you think she is?  I came here to the big dog experts! I definately see Great Dane, and I think Greyhound. Anyone have any ideas? She is 28 inches at the shoulder, and appears underweight at 74 lbs. Her name is Maggie and   she's a gem!

Remembering those no longer with us. / Goodbye Gunner
« on: October 05, 2005, 10:02:32 am »
I just joined this board, and had a chance to post a few pictures of my Boxer, Gunner.  Saturday October 1st, we lost Gunner to cancer. We fought it for a month.  I can't even begin to say how much this hurts, and reading some of the recent posts about George and Sassy, I see I don't have to. You all understand, and you have my sympathy as well.  I guess somehow we get past it, but I don't know how at this point.  Just wanted to share some pictures of the best dog I've ever had. I just don't ever want to forget anything about him even if memories bring tears along with smiles.

Boxer Discussions & Pictures / Hello from Ohio!
« on: September 26, 2005, 09:41:31 am »
Hi everyone, I love all these Boxer pictures! My boxer is wayyy bigger than the standard, but I guess that makes him a great fit for BPO! ;D  We also adopted a boxer mix that we fostered for boxer rescue. Rudy's mom was a purebred boxer who found herself pregnant, and in a dog pound. Our rescue took her in. When she gave birth, we agreed to foster "little" Rudy. . and then we kept him. By his size, I think he is also part Great Dane.  Hard telling. . .but he's a one of a kind, doofus, loving, dog.
