I just took this pick of Chara and I just love it, it captured her beauty, I thought
...
I took her to the vet last night and saw a berner...so cute... I thought he was huge and she told me he just weighed in at 96 pounds and Chara was 110 but I dont think she was on the scale perfectly but oh well.  The funny part is, she is a long way from being done in the growing dept. Believe it or not under that coat she is extremely lean, you can notice it in her tuck... some think too lean but she is gaining nice and slow like I want.  Zero weighed in at a 130 even and he is just starting to begin the filling out stage in life with his chest opening up, so I think another 15 pounds or so...who knows

If she cant see the bond that my dogs have with my son, she is blind... Zero worships the ground that he walks on... would be a rug for Noah to lay on when he is cold(if I let him LOL) to giving his own life for his safety.  Yes, it requires to establish rules and boundries but once that bond is established it will last a lifetime

Noah was giving Zero a hug because he just got home from school

then Chara got jealous and wanted in on the picture but Zero was telling her that this was his photo op and not hers

So then I took a group photo with Noah still sporting a silly face

Then Chara decided that Zero didnt belong in the picture and decided to kick him out

Then it just became a pig pile LMAO...and they all were having a good time

General Board for Big Dogs with Big Paws / Frankie and the dogs LOL
« on: August 23, 2006, 12:09:53 am »
The dogs have a small amount of time with the baby and after a few weeks I now leave them out of their crates and non leashed they are fully settled into the new life with a newborn.  I still never leave a baby unattened with the dogs or anything like that but I do let them investigate one at a time.  The only reason I dont do both at the same time is because sometimes play is instigated and well a accidental paw on the baby wouldnt be good.  Chara has become the guard of the baby and if you look at him the wrong way she reminds you on the proper way... zero takes the stairs at night because the baby is right above him and never once moved where as usually he did...

Frankie decided to make a dramatic enterance via emergency c-section.  All is well and he came in weighing 8lb 8oz and 21.5" long.  He is doing very well and overall a good baby with a huge appetite.  The dogs are quite in love with their new pack member as well and the introduction went way better than i thought it would... very smoothly

Meet Larry, the cray fish... he was doing the shuffle up our front walk way. I thought at first that it was a giant spider or even a scorpion because he had his claws raised but when i got closer to him I realized it was a crayfish LOL.. I guess it is a signal that we have had too much rain LOL. I let Noah hang onto him for a little while and then Noah and I took him down the street to let him go in the woods/swamp.
