Hello Everyone!

It's hard to believe our 2 big bears just turned 6 yrs old this week.  I know their birthday is close to Bear's and a few other pups here on BPO.  Don't know where the time flies but, they make us laugh & keep us on our toes everyday!

Hope all of you are doing well!

Hello Everyone!

Hope this note finds all of you & yours doing well.  We are sorry we will be missing the SS & card exchange this year...I think this is the first time we have missed it!  It's been such a crazy year and I just didn't think we would be able to squeeze it in.  I will miss all of you and your wonderful cards!  Now that things are settling down a bit in our very large family, I hope to be able to get onto one of my favortie web sites BPO more often!

Have a Merry Christmas & a Happy, Healthy New Year!

Hello Everyone!

Hope this note finds everyone doing well & feeling great!  I can't believe summer is almost over!  Where does the time fly?  We have not been on BPO in such a long time but, we get a chance to lurk once in awhile on the updates. Our family is very, very large and we have had lots of entertaining with guests from all over most of the summer.  Of course all 4 of our pups love company and have enjoyed quite a summer too.  It's all good, we are truly blessed and for that we are so grateful.  Who's life doesn't have bumps in the road, as long as we can get through in one piece!

Yesterday was my little McKayla Boo's 2nd birthday!  She is an absolute sweet love and had a wonderful day filled with a trip to the doggy store in town for lots of goodies for her & her siblings.  I can't believe how fast time is flying!  Guess that's what happens as you get older!   :o

I have to get a bunch of photos together to post with updates of our family's farm under renovation and pics of all the pups in their dog days of summer photos!

Sending good thoughts to all!

Hello Everyone!

I hope this note finds all of you doing well and feeling great.  We have been MIA for such a long time again, things have just been so crazy.  My Mom has been sick and had spinal surgery the end of January, so we have been running like nuts.  I have been able to catch a few posts once in awhile but, I hope to keep up a bit more now.  All is calm again now and the pups are doing very well.  I just wanted to drop a quick hello note and share a few pics of the snow storm that finally arrived here in Jersey.  All the prior storms this year have had lots of ice, not so safe for pups to be running on ice, so today they had a great time in the snow.  Kelso joined the party late because he was napping but, we were able to get one photo of him.

Keep well,

Hello Everyone!

Just wanted to share this wonderful video of a very cute pup from You Tube!  It is truly precious and it is so sad that the dog died so young.  Hope you are able to view the link below.

Thank you very much Julie, Jackie, Chammie, Charge & Tilly!

Sorry we couldn't wait to open your surprises.  Our pups have been picking up their wrapped goodies from under the tree since the day they arrived!  I thought after being such great rescue pups last night, that tonight was a good night for them to relax & have some fun.

Attached are some pictures of the big event!

Hugs from all of us!  We greatly appreciate your kindness!

Hello Everyone,

I hope this note finds all of you doing well and feeling great during this very, hectic time of year.  I wanted to share a wonderful story that involved our 4 wonderful Newfies in helping alert me that my diabetic brother was going into a seizure.

My brother is a Type I diabetic and has had diabetes since he was a child.  Tonight he was here and his sugar had dropped very low and he was going into a seizure when Klondike started barking very loudly in his hurry up and pay attention bark!  This of course alerted the 3 other pups and they all came running to where my brother was to alert me to the problem.  Thank goodness for all of them because this kind of sound before one goes into a seizure can be very frightening and they were right on it in rescue mode.

I was thankfully able to get enough cake icing & OJ into my brother to avoid the full blown seizure and he is feeling much better.

We are simply amazed and blessed by having these 4 wonderful dogs.  This is something not taught of course, it is just in their nature to be on the alert to protect their people. We had experienced this once before when Maddie & Klondike were pups when we were out swimming in the bay and they didn't like how far out we were swimming.  They came out to circle us and make sure we headed back in toward land.  They are constantly on watch in a casual way, especially near the pool when the young kids are over and swimming.

I am still in total disbelief in a way to witness how these great pups, sprang into action without hesitation or any training.  It is so neat how dog's instincts just take over and they now how to get the job done.  Needless to say, our 4 pups, who mind you aren't spoiled at all yet, (HA, HA, sure) are getting extra presents from Santa and got a few extra treats tonight after everything settled down.

Hello Everyone!

I was going through some old pictures and came across this very funny one!  Kelso is just a pup and Klondike couldn't be more pathetic and literally up Maddie's butt for the bully stick!  Of course, you have all figured it out already, that Klondike had finished his bully stick!  This pic was about 3 yrs ago and the big pups, just turned 5 this week and Kelso is now 3 1/2 yrs.old.  I don't know where the time flies!

Enjoy!

Newfoundland Pictures / We had a Newfie puppy party for our pup's litter!

Hello Everyone!

A few years back when we had our first 2 big Newfs, Klondike & Madison, we decided to invite all 7 of their littermates & their families!  I just recently came across this picture recently and it's hard to believe they will both be 5 yrs old this December.  7 out of 9 of the pups & their families were able to be present, as well as our trainer and our breeder.  It was Newfie heaven, we are trying to plan another one for next spring too!  Their litter of 9 was, 7 boys, 2 girls.

Hello Everyone!

Has anyone watched the new tv show on ABC called Samantha Who?  A friend of mine had mentioned the show and I got to catch a few minutes of it and saw the 2 Newfies on there!  Oh they are great and apparently going to be featured on the show on and off! Klondike would have done well in his acting debut, all they had to do this week was lay in the big bed!

You can even watch the episodes on abc.com for free!

Hello Everyone!

Hope this note finds all of you doing well, humans & canines alike!  It has been a very crazy few months with both of our parents having health isssues, so we haven't been on BPO in a long time.  Thank goodness Mom & Dad are both doing better & I had a quick minute to get on to check out some of the latest posts.  I know lots of people are having difficult times with health issues, family & their Big Paws.  I just hope that things will slow down & get better for everyone very soon.

I wanted to share a few pictures of our crazy Newfies, the porch pic is after they went to the groomer.  They all look ten times bigger with the big ole' fluffy coats!

Keep well.
