Bernese Mountain Dog Discussions / Puppy picture advice please! :)
« on: October 22, 2009, 09:39:22 am »
Hello Again!
I posted a much more extensive message earlier today, singing the praises of Big Paws Only. Now I have a question:

When I first joined this community years ago I posted pics of my little puppy angel Mirabelle. Now I am back with a new little boy and would love to share him with you but I have completely forgotten how to post pictures. Any advice?

Thanks Ashley

Bernese Mountain Dog Discussions / So happy to be back & new puppy!
« on: October 22, 2009, 09:20:31 am »
Hello Everyone,
Nearly three years ago, when I was expected my first Berner puppy, I posted here. I was nervous and excited and so happy to find a community. Sadly, I lost touch with the people here but I never forgot the support I got, even from my first post. The puppy, Mirabelle, has grown into a brilliant , sweet, silly and earnest grown-up and has changed my life forever.
A week and a half ago we brought home a new Berner boy puppy and I wanted so much to share the experience with this amazing community. Big, fluffy, tenacious, silly and full of energy this little boy could not be more different from the Mirabelle when she was a baby. As this little bundle of energy, (and teeth) grows up and explores his world, I would welcome the feedback, encouragement and sharing that I associate with this community.
Both my Berners are so special, it is pleasure to talk to other Berner lovers.
Take Care,
Ashley, (cesaria)

Bernese Mountain Dog Discussions / Drafting with my Sweet pup

Hello Everyone!
I have a beautiful,  amazing little Berner girl named Mirabelle. I discovered this site when I was planning to bring her home last year and I am really happy to be back. On Halloween Mira will be two years old and I am interested in buying her cart for her birthday. Nothing big - she is very petite, between 75 and 80 pounds and quite short. Can anyone help point me in the right direction to purchase carting supplies? Also, is she large enough to explore this hobby?
Thanks everyone!

Bernese Mountain Dog Discussions / sad news about Bernese arrival
« on: January 03, 2007, 03:38:11 pm »
Hello all

I posted the other day for the first time about a Bernese that was joining our family. The post asked about finding a puppy kindergarten class for her and the possible benefits of such a class. evryone was lovely. Unfortunately the puppy is too sick to come live with us and athey will no longer sell her. I am very sad. This is a big loss, we loved her instantly. So it is back to square one. And we are searching for a Bernese mountain pup. PLease wish us luck and let us know if anyof you come across anything.

Thank you so much

Hello all! I'm so glad to have found this forum. On Friday we will be welcoming a 10 week old Bermese Mountain dog into our family and I am very excited and a little nervous. Preparing for her arrival is making us run in circles!

One focus right now is finding a puppy "kindergarten" or Puppy Prep class for her to participate in. Everything I've read about the breed says this would be an extremely beneficial thing for a little Berner to do in order to become socialized and stimulated. However, having never heard of such a thing previously, I am having a difficult time knowing where to start. Has any one out there been through something similiar?

Should she be in classes for just BIG pups? Are there classes for just Big pups? How do we know what's best?

Also any advice at all about bringing this amazing little pup home would be very, very appreciated!

Thank you all so much, and it is wonderful to meet you!
