Thought I would post some pictures of the best dog weekend i have ever had. What a blast. NSW (Australia) newf day at North Richmond
Hubby and I both really enjoyed it. We made a lot of friends.
Mike passed the wine around the wine . Everyone was so relaxed. nearly all the dogs were "off leash" most of the time. Except when we tried to get down to some serious games

and the group photo. I counted about 24-26 newfs and five non-newf dogs. Not even one dog fight

I just love all the pics of the big Fluffies...... .....They are gorgeous

I just took some head shots of my sweet Annabelle. they were taken with my little Nikon Coolpix, not my DSLR. She has grown so confident from the scardy cat, timid girl she was a year ago

This was the introductory picture we got via e-mail just over a year ago

So I finally took the plunge and cut Annabelle's ears.......... ....I have to say I love Floof, but she looks a lot younger as some of you said she would. And less sad...........

It took about ten minutes with my new scissors, I tried to keep a natural look and not too short......... .Now I am going to re-charge Mike's clippers and trim her red bits off tomorrow (maybe). I am on a mission

We went to the Common today......... ....It is a public place on the river where all the Village people are allowed to keep two head of cattle per house-hold. You have to go via a "stile" (ramp over the fence) so no stock is accidentally let out. First time the dogs did the "stile"

"Up ramp" Annabelle, this is where agility training comes in handy

Newfoundland Discussions / Annabelle has been with us now for one year

I posted this on an other forum, but thought I might post it here tooWell we made it............ .......A positive rescue story

I remember her sweet picture that was sent to us and "sold" us to her

Her first month with us she was a sweet heart and very timid shy girl. though she was not potty trained and out of control, jumped on furniture, tried to chase our chickens and ducks and bark at the horses. Annabelle had been mistreated and was terrified of large men and boys about 8-11 year ols, especially with hoodies
Her second month she turned into the dog from h*ll due to coming in season. She tried to kill Tessa and gave her a horrendous neck injury. She was spayed, but a visiting vet told us to get rid of her........... NEVER......... .So now we get to know our new dog trainer, Scott, even better. He never gave up on her and us, a very patient clever man.
I slept with Annabelle in a separate room from Mike and Tessa. Scott said do not abandon her and give them separate time. allow them to see each other and be in the same house. but not able to touch. That took some doing. We trained twice a day side by side and trained and trained and trained....... .....For a month before we were able to get on.
We also got attacked by a American pit bull whilst walking and survived that scary episode.......
Well.......... .I now have the most incredible newfy girl. everyone loves her at training and everywhere we take her. She adores Tessa and Tessa can take bones out of her mouth.
We are doing really well in training and they are the most social dogs. Loving to every dog and person they meet........TH ANKYOU Scott and of course NN for sticking by us

Annabelle Father is a brown newf and her mom is black......... ......She is not a pure black dog

And sisterly love.........T hey do everything together now

We usually go to the river about 2miles from our home, but we decided to go a little further this time, a Sunday drive and walk beside the river. The Police paddock are about 20 miles further along from where we usually take the dogs. it is an even larger area, 1000 acres......... Hardly anyone around. Just two RV's.........Dogs were able to just roam

Well here is a most amazing newf doing Agility......I t will be a long time, before Annabelle is anywhere ner this good. i probably would not encourage that much speed, for my fear of injury. But check out all the other related clips.....

Annabelle was an out of control rescue, who only needed some loving and training to turn into the most loving clever newf. We have owned her now for nine months and here is some pics of her trying out the agility "table" and "plank".............H er favorite is the see saw and jumps. She is with her "little sister", Tessa
