I HAVE A 2 YEAR OLD ENGLISH MASTIFF. HIS NAME IS HARLEY. HE HAS AN INTERESTING STORY. THE PREVIOUS OWNER DIDNT TAK CARE  OF HIM. HE HAD TWO MASTIFF THAT HE HAD IN THE BACKYARD FOR 12 HOURS A DAY IF NOT MORE. THE PREVIOUS OWNER GOT HIM FROM ANOTHER PERSON WHO HAD HIM ABOUT A YEAR. WHEN THE THEN CURRENT OWNER WAS GOING OUT OF TOWN HE ASKED IF WE COULD WATCH HIM FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS. THAT TURNED INTO A WEEK AND NOW WHEN I APPROACHED HIS HOUSE I FOUND OUT HE HAD MOVED WITHOUT NOTICE. THAT IS HAPPENING MORE AND MORE I SEE. AT FIRST I WAS OK WITH TAKING CARE OF HIM BUT I KNEW I NEEDED TO FIND HIM A BETTER HOME. MY WIFE WORK 50+ HOURS A WEEK AND A MAJORITY OF THE TIME I AM IN SCHOOL. I DONT WORK AND WE HAVE ANOTHER DOG IN THE HOUSE. HARLEY COMES WITH ALOT OF FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILTIY . HE IS GOOD WITH PEOPLE AS LONG AS YOU TAKE THE TIME TO LET HIM GET TO KNOW YOU. HE GETS ALONG WITH OTHER DOGS FINE. BUT HE DOESNOT LIKE PEOPLE HE DOSENT KNOW GETTING IN HIS FACE. HE RIDES INTHE BACK OF A PICKUP TRUCK AND SLEEPS ON HIS BLANKET IN THE LIVING ROOM. HE IS STARVED FOR ATTENTION, I THINK HE DIDNT GET ANY FROM HIS ALAST OWNERS. HE IS NOT FIXED, BUT HE HAS HAD SOME TRAINING. I NEED HELP. I HAVE CONTACTED THE RESCUE GROUP BY ME BUT THEY CANT HELP ME RIGHT NOW. I HOPE SOMEONE OUT THERE CAN HELP ME PLEASE.

i have a 2 yr ol.d english mastiff that i resuced from a neighbor that was neglecting this dog. he is a 2yr old mastiff. his previous owner worked 12 hour days and would come home and leave the dog outside by himself with no attention.  my wife and i took with the hope that we could give him a good home with lots of love and attention. he is fine around my wife and i and even our other dog. a mixture of scottish terrier and aussie, also a resuce. but when other people come around he turns into another dog. just last night he tried to come through the sliding glkass door after my brother. and he nipped at my mom. i want to try and help him but i dont want someone bitten. the shelters by me wont help because of the aggressiveness and the rescue organization out here in southern california has yet to get back to me. he is not neutered. would that remove some of the aggression? help!
