Hello everyone,

I know people want to help the animals but don't always know where to start. I am a Pet Consultant with Shure Pets and they have a program that allows people to make donations very easily. See below:

Shure Pets Cares: Effective August 31, 2005 the Shure Pets Cares Program will donate all money received to the ASPCA Disaster Relief Fund to help provide direct support to rebuild facilities and relocate animals affected by Hurricane Katrina.

We have a pet store near us that advertises on the radio. They brag about having the largest selection of puppies in the area! I can't stand to listen cuz it ticks me off every time I hear it.

All we can do is keep the public informed and maybe it will help. But then again if you have a person that wants a purebred who do you think they are going to choose? A breeder that charges $1,000 for their puppy or a pet store that charges 1/2 that. We all know that the breeder is the better choice but for some people money can be the deciding factor.

I had the same problem when mine was a pup. The down play is the best and don't make a big deal out of cleaning up the mess either. Ask your guests to ignor him when first entering your house and he will soon grow out of it  ;D

I love puppies  ;D I can't wait for my next puppy. Wait what am I saying,  getting up in the middle of the night to go out, chewing on your arm, etc. Oh but we love them anyway  ;D

Hi all,

I just found out about this board, what a neat idea!

My name is Valerie and I live in IL with hubby. We are owned by Kaycee our GSD. I love animals, as a matter of fact I was just at a dog show this weekend working a booth. It was so neat to see all the beautiful dogs! But of course my fav was the GSD!

I look forward to meeting all of you.
