I bet being back with his buds makes him feel even better!!  Good to hear he's doing well.

I think most thoughts have already been posted.  I am grateful that BPO is not being shut down.  Time will tell if things actually "won't change", I hope they won't but.....

I don't come on nearly as much as I used to now that I'm in nursing school and working part time but I always check in to see what's going on.  Funny I checked in today!!  I've been a member on other boards  but only stayed here.  I hope to continue checking in!

Good luck to you Jaime and Michael, and all the best to Bear.

I agree with Jenn also.  When I'm feeling crappy, especially after a surgery, I don't want anyone around.  I just want to be left alone for a bit, even by my pups (I know that's horrible).

Good luck, prayers coming your way for a speedy recovery.

I can't remember Lowe's or Home Depot, I want to say Lowe's, did have the storm door with the doggie door already insalled for maybe $200.  Granted this was a couple years ago that I was looking for one but it definitely wasn't anywhere near $800!!

That's awesome!!!  I love the nose to nose pic!!  They were definitely having a good time!

I agree that the puppy thing must stop!!  And I'm a bit confused as to why you will have to deal with the other bloodhound when technically it is theirs??  I can understand not wanting confrontation but look at it as helping the pups, who can't speak for themselves, in the long run.

My roommate brought home a 6mth old dachsund two weeks ago because she's always wanted one!!  Needless to say, I'm doing the most for this dog (and I am a GSD person, not a small dog person!!).  Imagine my surprise  :-\ when now, after two weeks she's talking about finding another home for her because she's too needy......I feel your pain!  Good luck!!

Those are great pictures!!!  Your daughter has her own portable pillow!  One of our dogs was my pillow when I was a kid too!

My two year old female tries to one up my old lady every once in awhile!!!!!  I do think it's the age, they're the teenagers moving into adulthood so they are testing their boundaries.  I just make sure that Issy knows that Daphne is the alpha by doing little things, like always feeding Daphne first and giving her treats first.  And when I'm giving Daphne attention Issy always comes in between us so now I block her so she can't move Daphne out of the way.  When she does get out of hand though when she hears me call her off she does listen so it doesn't get out of hand.  Since it took both of you to pull them apart maybe when he's really into something, whether it's a toy, bone or his food try different ways to get his attention.  It may not work, but it's worth a try!!!  Oh, and ALWAYS make him do something: sit, down, shake...., before he gets anything.  Good luck

I remember the first time my first GSD saw one of those big barrel trash cans that are at the parks; he starts walking up to it, hackles up, growling, then starts barking at it like he's going to tear it apart!!!  I almost dropped the leash from laughing so hard!!

OMG she's awesome!!!!  I love their ears when they're still floppy!!!!

Navarre would snap at me when he was about that age, but usually it was when I would pick him up and he wanted to be put down.  That was the first sign of him trying to be alpha, and at the time I didn't know better so I'd put him down instead of not giving in.  So I got what I deserved, he was a butt for awhile, then I learned better and he turned into an awesome dog!!!  Maybe it's a GSD thing!!!

Good luck!!!!  She's so cute!!!!!
