Anything Non-Dog Related / Have you ever lost someone close to you?

Recently my little brother past away. He was 22 and it was very unexpected. My brother and his girlfriend were murdered by her ex- boyfriend. There were four children in the house but none of them were harmed.It happened in Bowling Green, Ohio.
My brother and I were very close. I have been in Ohio for the past week and half. It has been horrible. I can't explain all the emotions I have felt. I am back in Oregon now and his funeral has past. It has been so hard to carry on with daily activities lately. Everything keeps running in my mind. I am so sad.
Have any of you lost someone? Any advice on things that will help ease my pain?

That is soo cool. I am in Oregon also. Its awesome when they actually use our state for movies. There is also another movie that just came out that was made in Portland. Are we there yet or something like that. With Dr. Dre'.

Jade is 11 months and Titan is 5 months. He is huge.
We have a little over 2 acres outside of town. We all love it. I have video clips I will post soon.

That is soo cool. I love it when potty training goes really smooth. Both Jade and Titan were easy to potty train with very little accidents.

Wow you are very brave.
I thought about getting Titan's ears cropped. I talked with our vet and she didn't want to have anything to do with it. She actually was really rude about it. She went on and on about how much pain the puppy would be in and it wasn't fair to put them through that much pain. I decided not too. Being a parent is hard enough sometimes but seeing your babies in pain didn't seem very fun to me.
Duke is soo cute!!
My husband wanted the fawn color dane and I wanted the mantle and harlequin.
I thought about getting Titan's ears cropped. I talked with our vet and she didn't want to have anything to do with it. She actually was really rude about it. I am not a breeder and I am not looking for any danes. I had a bad experience with another website and I just wanted to make it clear up front that I am not a breeder. I have never bred any dogs or helped anyone else breed dogs. I don't want to have anything to do with puppy mills.
I just want to find a place where I can share my passion for my two beautiful great danes and my family. I love to share stories, ask questions and give advice from my experiences with my danes.
Now that I have that out in open I hope I can still join in and have some pup pals.
