Oh,I have another question for pyr owners.do you think a male pyr will get along with my male neutered shepherd? We will of course be neutering the pyr too.

Thanks for the ideas.I have been driving my husband crazy too.We had originaly planned on getting a female and i spent weeks picking out a female name.last night we talked to the breeder to reserve a puppy and then for no reason in particular exceopt it was what hubby wanted we changed it to a male.now i have to start over with the names.Nothing is for sure but here is a few i've had in my head not in any particular order
Pooh Bear(Bear)
Blu
Colby
Diego
Caleb
Deacon
Casper(if he's all white)
Rory
Tell me what you think and feel free to add more to my list.I am so excited. Its going to be a long wait til next summer.

Great Pyrenees Discussions / Just wondering
« on: September 17, 2007, 01:12:31 pm »
I was just wondering if any of you feed your pyr fish with his food.I was reading that fish once or twice a week was good for dogs.We saw someone walking a pyr yesterday and of course i just had to stop and see, even though they were strangers, lol. The dogs coat was comming out in handfuls and clumps and i was wondering if they are all like that all the time.I have no idea how much that dog is groomed ,it might have something to do with that.Anyway i was wondering if alittle fish added to the diet would help with the shedding.Don't get me wrong i don't mind shedding and i know when i get my pyr it will shed.I was just wondering if fish would give her a healthier coat.

Awww I can't wait to see them too.We were presently looking for a breeder to get a pyr.As much as i would love to have one now,we have decided to wait until sometime in the new year.It would be too soon to get one now because we want to get our fencing finished and get one in the spring.

I have read about the barking.Do they still bark if they are inside at night?

He's so cute.My big boy was 10 lbs at 1month and then gained 10 lbs every month until he reached 110lbs.He is probaly alittle over weight. If yours doesn't get overweight i would say he will probly be 80-95lbs.
