Gage is 111 lbs as of last week, he is getting neutered pretty soon, so I will have a new weight then.  He eats about 6 cups of food a day.

Your pups are adorable. I can't imagine a 10 month old at 111 pounds! That is a lot of puppy! And he only eats 6 cups of food a day? Amazing! Cody eats 4 to 5 cups a day. She is just over 60 pounds but she has some catching up to do. The food she was on before just went straight through her. She's putting on some weight now. I'm going to have to watch her so that she does not gain too much!

OH I can't beleive how gorgeous she looks and almost all grown up  ;) I just love dobes  ;D  I am glad you got her tummy issues resolved. She must be feeling so much better now.

Thank you so much. She is feeling better and you can tell it. She has calmed down quite a bit. We're still working on obedience and will for a long time I guess. But she is smart. She is very strong willed and that is something that we have to work on continually as well. But she is very loving and has a very sweet personality.

Cody is beautiful!  Glad you  found something for her sensitive tummy.

Thank you. It was a nightmare. Poor girl. She makes decently hard little poops now that don't stink. :^)

Hi cody is gorgeous, I am new here, and have just recently been given a Mastiff Rottweiler cross pup who is about 10 months old.

Gage is a HUNK!!! Only 10 months old? He looks huge in the picture! How much does he weigh and how much are you feeding him?

And welcome to the forum.

TC & Cody

It was such a relief to see solid poop. I just feel so bad that it went on as long as it did.

Jack is sooooo cute. How old is he?

Hope everyone and their big paws are happy and healthy.

I've been very busy raising Cody. She is now 62 pounds of pure muscle and every bit as sweet. We went through months of diarhea (sp?). Part of it was Giardia but not all of it. I had her on Eagle Pack for large breed puppies thinking that it was a good food for her. After all, many of the dobie breeders use that brand of food. My vet and I changed her food to ID prescription and after the FIRST CUP she had hard poop. We were dancing in the street. She has calmed down since then. We are going to obedience classes and she is learning quickly.

Here are a couple of recent pictures of her. She is now 8 months but these pictures were made at 5 months.

Thank you for the kind words everyone. She is definitely growing up.

LOL Today we were in the yard and a neighbor came outside. Cody started barking at him like she would tear him apart. But when he got to about 4 feet from her her tail wagged so hard her whole booty had to follow! Some guard dog, huh?

Wow,she is growing up to be gorgeous! I love the pictures, full of dobie dignaty! No one looking at her would ever think that she is a love-bug goof ball, I think that is part of the dobie charm for so many of us.
Stella

LOL Boy is that ever the truth!!! I love to snuggle with her. And she is ever so willing to give me a bath!

Here are a couple of Cody in the park with Max (red dobie). These were taken last Sunday.

I can't let Cody off of her leash yet. She Just loves people and other dogs and will happily run after them. LOL

When Ratdog passed away, I did not think I could ever get another dog. There was a void and pain in me that is unexpressable. She was so much a part of my life. She even went to 2 of my jobs with me.

Then Cody came along. She is filling that void that I'd been experiencing for 3.5 years. When I saw her for the very first time she came up to me and started licking me on the nose. That sealed it right there.

What I love about Cody:

When it is time to eat she has to play and eat at the same time (she will even put her ball in her bowl sometimes).

How when I first got her, before she learned the sit command, she would sit to get a treat (the breeder said that she did not teach her this).

How when she growls and barks at something her hair stands up from the back of he head to her tail.

The look of expectation she gets on her face when we are playing or when she is about to get to ride in the car or go into the pet store and in so many circumstances.

How, when we are in the bed and she needs to go outside, she will lay down right next to me and put her little face next to mine and give me "wet willies".

How she likes to lay in front of the heater.

How she loves to play ball.

How she has to be touching you most of the time, whether it be on the bed, or in the car, or just sitting at the breakfast room table.

How when she wags her stump of a tail her whole booty wags with it.

I love how she can climb up on the couch with me when I'm laying down (though she is not supposed to :^) even though there is only 6" of room.

I love her happy self.

I love how funny she is.

I love how she makes me feel.

And I thank God for putting her into my life. I think it is one of the ways that He shows His love for me.
