Saint Bernard General Discussions / Re: Judge has a new home. :(
« on: June 29, 2006, 10:53:28 pm »
I wasnt sure if Coonie would get a chance to update everyone on how things went with Judges first introduction to his new family, so I thought I would come on and fill everyone in.
I went along with Coonie to bring him. And Judge and his new buddy seem to get along quite well. They both have very similar temperments and neither seemed to concerned about the other. Judge made himself right at home and was on his best behavior. He took to the whole family really well. A very nice lady, two young boys, a husky friend and lots of room to roam. What more could a big Saint like Judge ever need.
The guy even offered to bring Judge over to Coonie any time she wants to have him for the day.
The kids were ok with Judge having a new home but I think Coonie will miss him dearly.
Coonie thought long and hard to make this decision and looked for the absolute perfect family for him.
I think she has found the perfect Family.
Even I will miss the big slobbery dude.  :'(
But these people are super nice and we have known them for a long time so they arent exactly strangers.
And we can go see him whenever we want.
What more could you ask for???
All dogs should be loved as much as Judge is!!!

Kayzer got lots of black fly bites on his belly a couple weeks ago and they were red and swollen and looked really itchy, so I gave him two benadryl and the redness and swelling went away really quick. You could try that!

OMG That is sooooo nice! I received a sympathy card from my vet with a beautiful note when we had to put Sadie down and I was bawling, so I can only immagine the tears you must have shed when you saw that!!!! You are lucky to have such a great Vet.

WOW this is a great post!!! I also agree with everyone that loving is easy but losing is so horrible!!! Especially when it is an accident and so sudden as it was with my Sadie who was just over a year old. I would have never ever thought I could love a dog as much as I Loved Sadie and I also thought I would never have another one after her,but thanks to BPO's Wonderful people I was convinced to heal my pain with a new Baby (Kayzer). This was the best advice I could have gotten after I had to make the horrible decision to let her go!!!!
Thanks BPO the best group of Loving Strangers on the whole wide web!!!!!
