Internationall y acclaimed artist, woodcarver and sculptor Stephen Huneck is well known for his whimsical folk art featuring dogs, particularly Labrador Retrievers. His first piece featuring a Newfoundland, made specially for North Central Newfoundland Club's 2nd Annual Newfiepalooza fundraiser, is not only an adorable rendering of our beloved breed, but is an important art piece that is sure to become extremely valuable over time.

The 12-inch tall resin sculpture of a Newfoundland is hand-cast from an original carving, hand-painted and is a one-of-a-kind piece that embodies the Vermont artist’s trademark whimsical style. It is valued at $450.

Huneck’s work has been praised in the New York Times, Boston Globe, USA Today and other publications and has been featured on “The Oprah Winfrey Show, NBC’s “Today” and “Good Morning America.”  The Seattle Times called him “One of the nation’s hottest artists.”

Included with the sculpture is a copy of the coffee table book The Art of Stephen Huneck signed by Huneck—a collector’s item in its own right.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own an incredible piece of Newfoundland art by the country’s premiere animal artist.

Some of Huneck’s work can be seen on his Web site at  web page .
