just got back from the vet. wow. nikki's seriously small.. 9 months now, only 75#s. i figured avg 10# per month putting her target by ~90# by now... she was the runt of the litter but this is kinda... scary small for a saint, no?

MAN! what i would've done for fresh cherry tomatoes last week. i bought a pound of prosciutto along w/ a lb of fresh mozz balls a few wks back... couldn't find good cherry tomatoes nearby and ended up tossing 1/4 lb of prosciutto away 
felt like i was tossing dollar bills into the garbage...

we still have Black Krim Heirloom Tomatoes popping up as well as Cherry Tomatoes, Jalapenos and Basil. All we need is some Mozzerella and it's Spicy Bruschetta time! Mmm, mmmm.....

* i was HOPING to get her spay in before her first period but... the shelter's spay prog is full until Nov 8, and we saw signs of first spotting yesterday.
* she's become COMPLETELY unhousebroken again. peeing everywhere. and i mean, everywhere. on my pants while picking her up to go outside, on my house slippers, on cody's sleeping rug, etc. i attribute this to the increased urination of estrus, but it's really ridiculous...
* will the shelter refuse to spay her during the season due to increased blood loss, etc.? seeing nov 8 is 8 days away, and the season is 3 wks long.

kong. definitely go w/ a kong, or a kong-LIKE toy. they're muchos dineros (and we only have ONE for both dogs). or... something like a big tennis ball... anything nylon/pvc based w/ hollow insides can be obliterated in a tow.
beef allergies is actually extremely common... as it's one of the top sources of animal protein used throughout the decades by major doggie kibble companies...

i've switched both the dogs out to Cosco Kirkland Lamb. they like the lamb a LOT more than the chicken so i think i've hit the magic food/$ ratio...

the nylon w/ quick release buckles can't hold nikki. she destroys it. i dunno how.. so the PO finally got a hold of a permanent nylon collar w/ a loop-fastener.
w/ cody... since he has SOO many tags, we like to let him roam w/o his collar like a "WILD ANIMAL" (quoting my gf).

she goes 2-3x a day. for the last 3 days, at LEAST 1 of the 2/3x has been inside muh apt. and nah man, it's not UTI. cuz about a month ago, she did this too, and we took her to the doctor and it wasn't UTI. she's MAD. she's FURIOUSly mad. i just don't understand what about
