Tajsa....awwww man!  I am sooooo busted!  Well if I must...Boomer was our first poochie.  We rescued him from a shelter and he's the bestest guy ever.  We got him in June 1999, he was 4 months old.  He had flopper ears and was just plain adorable.  Truth be told, hubby wanted a pup, and I was the one who did the legwork.  Since then we've argued about who's dog he is, and who loves him more, and who he loves more...finally I got BellaRoo!  Two are better than one any day!!!  I'll have hubby help with a pawprint...soo n.   ;D

I usually talk about BellaRoo my Dane.  However, today we went to Three Rivers for some fun, and she lost the coin toss(there was only one seat left in the jeep).  Boomer got to go, and I think he really had a blast!

clark:  we used to use listerine on our horses...but I forget now where on them we used it.  I think it may have been at the top of their tail to keep them from getting that bushy look which is caused by fungus (I was told).  I think it would be a good topical anticeptic since we can put it in our mouths.

You all may think I'm totally psycho...but I showed this to my son (almost 14), and he cried and cried, much like I did.  We talked about why they "do that" to the puppies, dogs, and kitties.  He understands why they're in both kill and no kill shelters, and how people who irresponsibly, or even wrecklessly allow their animals to breed just for the sake of "one litter" or "accidents" help create this enormous dilemma.  We also talked about how these people can't possibly guarantee their pups or kitties are given/sold to a good home, (or possibly don't even care).  Geesh, we talked for an hour.  Almost done crying...I asked him what he thinks we could do to help.  He didn't have an answer.  So, I'm thinking that most of us feel that way, like we don't have options or we can't do anything.  Maybe we could start a thread about ways we can individually help.  Am I thinking to large, or am I being naive again???  Ah, by "help" I mean -- find a way to educate people who aren't aware (like I was before I watched this video) that their little ones will some day wind up on one of those tables being cuddled for the last time.

I never knew it was like that for the ones that didn't get adopted.  I was so nieve.  I knew what eventually happened to them.  But I didn't think it was like that.  We truly do have blinders on when it comes to what goes on in the world.  I'm so glad I got my Boomer out of there.  But I can't stand to think of all the times I've visited shelters...

Your pics are terrific!  Keiko looks very "at home" in the woods.  Gunther looks like he got lost though..."Hey, where'd everybody go?!?!?"  LOL, really good pics.  I really love the last two action shots.  They are good models, and must really listen well!

modified to change actors to models - still sleepy!
