I would have probably kicked the neighbor.
That is why we live in the middle of no where.
I do let my Pry run but when the farmers aren't in the field. They will occasionally come up when the fields are being looked at to ask to take Cujo  with them because of the coyotee population out here it just makes them feel better to have him there and know that he can and will take one down. The three brothers that farm out here are in their 70's so walking around fending off a wondering coyotee isn't an option.

They are beautiful. Cujo and I go round and round about brushing he hates it and they muzzle him when I take him to the groomers because she is afraid of him. He hasn't bit anyone yet but because his head is so big , I can see her cringe everytime I bring him in.

While looking for an Irish Setter we ran into some trippy people. You can't find them out here so we were calling other States.
I know a responsible breeder should ask questions but they had rules that I have never had to deal with. Like no breeding rights, no show rights, ability to contact you. Pictures of your house and ages of your kids.
The woman that I got my puppy from calls me every other day to see how he is doing. She is amazed that we have him potty trained because her pup that she kept isn't yet. She is also amazed that he can sit , shake, and stay for a few seconds before he has to move.

Well my pyr is great and loves to lay around. He is great with the kids but he hates my house. Most of the people here that I can tell that have pyrs have them in the house. Mine was breed on a farm as a protector and had never seen the inside of a house.
An Irish setter is a good dog but high maintance  . They are very active but are smart and loving. My pup already loves to cuddle when he isn't trying to chew , run, play, or get my attention. Beyond that I have always had hunting dogs. Boxers are sweet I did have one of those when I was a kid.

My Pyr is four years old and my Irish setter is three months old.
Aside from my two dog children I have four real kids, several barn cats(people are forever dumping them here) We live in the middle of nowhere .
Cujo is the Pyr and Shamus is the Irish Setter

Hi I am a proud owner of a Pyrenees , he is a great dog and a wonderful protector. We came about Cujo through an ad of someone who didn't have the property for him. We needed him because of the high coyotee poplulation here. We live on about 7 or 8 thousand acres so he is an outside dog. On farming days he gets kenneled until they are done in the fields and back out to play. He gets along with the farmers however they occasionally hire new people and yelling Cujo come , as a huge dog is bounding toward some one has a tendency to scare the bejeebers out of people. Can't figure that one out. Tongue

I am by no means a pro at Pyrs however with ours when he started the nip stage I laid him on his back showing his belly to me (he was not very happy) but a breeder told me that showed them they were to be the passive towards us. I did this until he would back down.

As with any dog common sense is don't leave them alone with the baby. My Cujo never has hurt any of my children a matter of fact they are his sheep to protect. He however is an outside dog.
Happy birthday to Sadie
