Love those pictures! I hooked up our sprinkler for my 2 not too long ago, but they would only play in it if I stood there holding it and sprayed them with it!

Alaskan Malamute Pictures / 1 year since I got my Zoey!
« on: May 01, 2006, 08:00:05 am »
May day last year, my mom, dad, grandma, and I picked up a very special puppy. I named her Zoey, and I love her so much! It's hard to believe it's been a year since we got her! Here are some pictures to show the journey and growth she's made with me over the past year. Enjoy! Warning- cuteness may be present in the following images!

Dolly can get huge mats behind her ears too. I just cut them out with regular scissors GENTLY though and make sure not to get her skin. Then I brush the area and it's fine. You can prevent them by brushing every day behind the ears with a pin brush or slicker brush. Prevention is the best cure!

What a cutie!

Dolly my Saint only drools when she drinks. Then, everyone get back! She will slime you! And Zoey seems to imitate her occasionally, letting a nice little drool roll off the tongue! But other than that, no big messes!

Definitely Lab in his background. Maybe some Golden Retriever? And is his tail bobbed? It looked like it in one of the pictures kind of.

Newfoundland Discussions / Re: Kali is setting up her pool!
« on: April 23, 2006, 09:52:31 am »
Just went out and bought a kiddie pool for the girls yesterday! It will never be clear water, only muddy, but they love it anyway. Keeps them cool. Coincidentally, we don't have a truck or anything, so to get the plastic pool home from Wal-Mart, we had to flip it upside down and put it on top of the car and drive home holding onto it! Our car is purple, and the pool yellow so it looked like a purple car with a hard hat on! So many people were waving and laughing at us! Mom said, "Gee, people sure are nice when you look stupid!" And all this for the dogs.

Newfoundland Discussions / Re: why aren't you suppose to shave a Newf?
« on: April 23, 2006, 09:35:13 am »
Good question! I've never heard that you shouldn't either! Should you not shave a Saint Bernard either? The vet told us to leave at least an inch of fur on her though to prevent sun burn. Is there anything else to be concerned about?
