I'd be tee'd.

There's a thread going on another board I visit.. on the dollar damage your pet has done.  Someone had an estimate of 7,300...
Cider has chewed an ex's glasses because he was a tool and left them at her level.. Other than that, nothing.. Well, she's pushed the screens on the screen door out and they are a little broken..
But, it's cause she's never alone.  She needs to be where I am.  She can't wander the house.. So that's why our damage is minimal.

I'd toss it and try good old beef and rice or chicken and rice and see what happens.
I hadn't read what was in the Hills I/D before, but excuse me while I puke.  I'm really baffled on how that's supposed to be helful.  YIKES.

Always good rule of thumb to rule out a medical problem when behaviours change or intensify.
I had the same problem Bella's Mom.  We were using pee pads though and they were blood spotted.  So I looked online was pretty sure it was a uti, and she kept stopping and peeing on the floor like it had caught her off guard.
Ever since I've tried to remember to remind people of medical probs first to be safe.
I've read that uti's are actually a fairly common thing in young females.  Thankfully we had one and were then okay.

Has the dog been to the vet recently?  You should rule out a uti or anything else medical before trying to crack down on innaprpriate peeing, it may not be her fault.

Okay I lied I did read that thread, didn't know about the house arrest.
That is a crummy situation.  Least it's only two weeks and you are beign creative about it though.   ;)

I guess I don't read all the threads.. Why the quarentine?
That really sucks.  Cider would be mental by the end of two weeks, I'm glad you are finding ways to still get excercise.

This was posted last week..

And I've found out since that some of the scores attatched to the grading system aren't actually correct..

Thanks.  I totally agree.  That's just a number that I throw out, but I know when I am healthy.  I just feel good.  All you have to do is fit into that pair of pants that you couldn't wear for the last two years, and that is what counts!
Bella and I are going to start walking in the morning.  I work evenings, and she and I had gotten into a great habit of walking before I went to work, but then it became 200 degrees here, so....  Anyway, excuses aside, we are going to walk about 8 or 830am, before it is unbearable for both of us.

I fully understand.  I just get worried when people mark off I need to loose X pounds.. Some people don't know better, you never know.  I like to reassure people that the scale isn't the be all and end all :)
I was pretty shocked at the doctor last week to see I'd lost 3/4 of a pound and 4 pants sizes together..  But I haven't fit into my jeans from grade 13 in FIVE years and they fit again so woooot.  I'm hear roaring for you.
My neighbour thinks I'm still shedding some.  I've gotten into doing hopefully 2 dog things a day.  Like a walk/jog and playing some ball.  Blading some days.. Agility classes.  I've been bad for a year on giving Cider enough excercise.  Thought playing with her wouldn't help me.  But it's added a deep bond, and we both are looking sexy ;)
I think getting into a walking 'habit' is rocking hun.

Good luck *hugs*

Please remember muscle weighs more than fat.. and the numbers on the scale are less important than what size of jeans you can now get into.

My father drilled that into my head my whole life.. And while I know it's true.  It still minorly depresses me what the scale says.

I dropped 4 pants sizes between septemeber and now.. and lost all of, 3/4 of a pound..

But I can see muscle tone where there was none.

Just keep in mind that the scale isn't as important as people would like to make it out to be.

Tiny mites.. Sounds like something I'd need to call an exterminator for.  Dear lord I found an ewok in my bed...

Least Julie threw up in her mouth.. Think I'm going to puke on my monitor..

I would use a groomer and not a vet.. If I was told my dog could only come back at X length I'd go elsewhere..

I've been told it's insulation and fir is helpful.  But I shave my cocker down.  I'm not good enough at dematting.

I'd be super careful about burns now though.

General Board for Big Dogs with Big Paws / Re: Need help again

So you are looking at getting a new dog.. but one that needs the attributes of a stuffed animal or pet rock..
While rehoming a dog you've adopted and cared for..

I see this time and again on many forums.  Makes me kinda ill since you'd figure people on a pet forum wouldn't rehome.  But you also find chronic rehomers and hoarders there too.

If you rehome the dobe, I really don't think it's right that you look for another one.

Enviro allergies are really common this year.  I give benadryl to ease the itchiness when it's bad.
