That is tough, not to worry about all of that.  Cosmo took a full 24 hours to come out of his groggy stage.  even 24 hours later he threw up.  When I talked to our vet she made note of it and recommended a different kind for the future.

Good luck.  Sounds like she is getting really great care at home!!

I am really happy to see your HS has Pit Bulls.  We never see them in ours.  Small minds keep them from ever making it the adoption area.  Very sad......

That is terrible if it was that he didn't remove enough.  Now you aren't living in the same place and away from that vet??

Cosmo loves all of the compliments!!  Thanks!

Nicole, the surgery involves dissecting the cartiledge that frames the third eyelid.  I don't think it is too complicated and the vet said he prefers to work on Big Paws.  He also ask that I don't repeat that so what am I doing, but posting it on a website!!  Sorry tinytracks.

In the end there will be no stitches to remove and he'll go home with an antibiotic ointment the same day as surgery.

Medical Conditions & Diseases / Cosmo's Eyes
« on: October 09, 2006, 04:56:52 pm »
Cosmo went to an eye specialist today.  He confirmed that his third eyelids are rolled outward.  The poor boy will have to have surgery on both eyes in about one month. $$$$$

I thought I would post some pics of his eyes now.  Hopefully we'll have excellent post-op eye pics to post.

The last pic is one of his chin.  It is my favorite part of him!!
