I was also questioning credentials of Nipa since she did publish a book on dog training AND owns a few websites while not even having a dog  Undecided Would YOU take your dog to a trainer with no dog?  Roll Eyes

Weren't at one time recently BPO members donating money to keep this site running? So members pay to keep a site running and then its owner sells it for profit?

This exactly what I was thinking about and remembered what Barbara said in the past (RIP).
The whole situation is just a nuisance to me...sorry  Undecided
Good luck Jaime and Michael

Glad you're doing the research.  Last year my sister took her dog in for routine exam and vaccination.  She did whatever the vet recommended.  Her dog died from the lepto and the vet hadn't given her any warning it could happen.  Apparently, the fatality isn't uncommon.
My friend's GSD died last year from Lepto vaccine as well  Cry That's why I am VERY concerned on what to put into my lovies  Smiley

How exciting!!!

Are you looking for a show pup or a pet one?
You could ask to see her contact ahead of the time  Wink Most of the breeders have it ready  Smiley You could also look up their health clearances online as well on www.offa.com
Most of the states have laws at what age puppies can go to new homes which NORMALLY should not be before 8 weeks of age.
It seems you got it all covered about food/vaccination questions since BMD have MANY issues and should be on home made or HIGH quality kibble diet so you will know as soon as she/he tells you what they feed their dogs  Wink
Good luck and keep us posted  Kiss

I am totally against of Kennel Cough and Lepto vaccines.
Lepto is only needed for dogs that live in cities or hunting dogs that exposed to wild animals.
If your dog has a strong immune system Kennel Cough is not a big deal at all.
I go to a dog shows, parks, obedience classes and hikes and Lily never had issues and never was vaccinated against that.

Now, Lyme vaccine is very dangerous to dogs. Many have horrible adverse reactions and it's only 60% effective. I know dogs that got Lyme disease while being vaccinated. In addition, it weaken immune system dramatically!

It's your decision what to do but please do some research. There is plenty of studies and info available  Smiley

I am glad you enjoy our bunch  Grin They are pretty easy and don't take much to please at all. They are almost paper trained and eating anything I serve  Roll Eyes Lily only feeds them a few time a day and YES, she is getting fed up  Tongue
We have company all the time so they get tons of socialization and paying time. I am very sad thinking of a week they will be leaving BUT wonderful families that will take them home are just amazing and can't wait to hold their babies. I know they will be loved and spoiled for the rest of their life  Smiley We will be getting photos and updates all the time and I hope they might join BPO as well  Grin
