He he, 2Criminals.  We were posting at exactly the same time and both of us were saying to follow your instincts.  Great minds....   ;)  :D

I'm inclined to agree that it sounds (from a distance) as if it may just be cultural misunderstandi ng.  However, I'm a big believer in trusting your instincts!  So, since his approach is making you really uncomfortable, I'd take the safe route and only walk with Michael or your trusted neighbor for awhile.  Hopefully this will give this other man the clear message that you aren't interested.  In the meantime though, do you know anyone else of this man's nationality that you could ask if this is a cultural thing or what??   :-\

You're welcome Chantel!  I can't wait to watch that little cutie pie grow!  Please give him a kiss on his nose for me, ok?  Ahhhh, puppy fever!

I'm absolutely thrilled for you, Tricia.  He's going to have a wonderful life with you.  Isn't it amazing when it all falls together so perfectly like that?  Then you do just know (it was like that for us, too).  Great job Magic, you helped pick a beautiful new baby for your momma to love.   :-*  Huge congratulation s!

Awww, he's such a cute little guy!  Wow, a 25% gain is huge.  Really, what if a 120# person gained 30# in one week??  Boggles the mind!  I don't think that I could do that even if I ate ice cream all day long (but it sure sounds yummy  ;)).  Funny story?  My Dad was only 3-4# at birth, but he stands head & shoulders above his siblings and wears a size 14 shoe.  He's often laughed that he was the "runt" in his family.  Just goes to show how much a little one can catch up & at 25% in one week, I'd say Gilligan is well on his way.   :-*  :)

I can't find words to fully convey what I'm feeling right now.   :'(  We came so very close to losing our oldest son at birth to brain bleeds from severe birth trauma.  So there isn't a day that goes by that I don't know how blessed we are to have him with us.

I can't begin to tell you how sorry I am for your loss.  :'(  You and your husband will be in my prayers.  ((big hug))

We finally decided that if we kill another poor vacuum, we're going to try to  spring for a Dyson, so I do sympathize.

Just FYI: I thought the Dyson was crap (esp on dog hair). I swear by Rainbow though. It's a water filtration vacuum and it freaken ROCKS! It costs more than the Dyson, but you can sometimes find them used for cheap (got mine for $130 on Craigslist). And they last forever . . .

Hmmm good info, thanks!  We've had central vac in our last few houses and loved it.  Unfortunately, it would cost ~2K to retrofit into this house, so that's not happening and the ~$500 for a Dyson isn't in the budget right now either.  If we kill this poor vac, I'll look into used Rainbows, thanks.  (Tee hee, that sounds funny...where can you buy a used rainbow, anyway!  :D  ;))

Oh wow,  :'(  :'(  :'(.  Deep breath, that was so very sweet.

My youngest son was just talking about Halley the other day and he started to cry again and it's been nearly 3 years since she passed away.  The bond between kids & their pets is wonderfully strong.

Shedding, what shedding??  LMAO!  With 2 Pyrs and a Golden mix (her coat is allll Golden) here, it's more like tumble weeds than just fur.  I have to vacuum every other day or so, and we're still deadly to vacuums.  We finally decided that if we kill another poor vacuum, we're going to try to  spring for a Dyson, so I do sympathize.

Seriously though, welcome to you and your pups! I've had a big crush on Rollie for quite some time now (my childhood dog was a collie  :-*), so I especially can't wait to hear more about your Charlie.  Maybe someday I'll find my very own Pyr/Collie mix on Petfinders.   :)   8)
