Got his Baby..  This is one toy  he  really  doesnt like to give back to you. My kids gave it to him  when we brought him home and he  hates  relesing it as any other one we hill release..  HE is still learning though

Ok I will start by  saying I have grown up   with  dogs  from  Great danes - Yorkies. Blue Hellers, Black labs,and Dobbies. They were all outside dogs only inside  in the boot  room part in the winter when it was to cold  for them to be outside.

Before  Zeus I had a husky  who wouldn't come in the house  even  if you tried  bribbing her with a treat she wouldn't  step in. Even on the coldest days and blizzarding weather  she would  stay out  never wanted in we tried to get her to come in  but no way.

She (Nikki) ended up passing away 2 years ago She was a great dog  loved to run.

Well I have  been looking things  up  and  have read  lots that  rotti's  should  not be an outside only  dog that  they well  dominate etc.. and they  need  to be  in the house  with there owner all the time.. If i could I would have him as an indoor dog but he seems to love it outside also  Letting him  be an inside dog would not go over good  due to my hubby  doesnt  like  big dogs in the house and believe there best place is outside. In the winter sence i live in  Northern Alberta he will be in the porch on them  cold cold days
Well  I dont know  if there is any one else on  here that s dogs are outside only and I know on another  message  board I was  reading at that is for rottis only I Was alarmed how ppl  got  very ignorant  with a question about  a dog spending  most time outside.
Zeus has a huge  dog house that sheldon  built  him  for out side with  a big  blanket in it. He is feed all the time and  We go outside with him for long periods at a time. Of course when it is raining we dont go out as much to see him but we still go out and play with him a little. We do  take him  with us to town  and also  will be taking him on holidays  like  camping  etc.  Im  just  now  even  more so worrie dthat Im  going to mess up on him and he wont  be a good dog if he is  outside only does any one have or know of any one that has or had a rotti that was outside only? 
 
 

Zeus..  HE is  growing  sooooo fast.  On thursday was his  first  vet appt. His paw * i posted about it earlier*  IS just fine the Vet  says it  doesnt feel  broken  but  he  does have some pullen tendants in that  knee. HOPE fully everything will heal up good it allready  seems  better though.  We meet are Vet  Dr. George he is the greatest  person in the world  we  have desided to keep are pups  tail after  disscussing it with the vet himself.  He has  his next  shots on the 6th of july and  will also  be getting  neutered they have this new laser  surgery out  and they are now able to fix dogs at a much  younger age and the recovery is way faster.  BY the time  we pick  him up  that day he will  probley be  all playfull and ready  to play.   Sheldon*hubby*  is  kinda  against it  sence the  vet  said  Zeus  wont get the male  hormone  so he wont  bulk up as much  but I guess  he  may  be a little  taller.. WHo knows  we will wait and  see. 

We have been  carrying on  with thetraining  he  has  be Coming to us alot  better  when  called  even   when  another animal  or something is disstracting him he is also sitting when  he comes to you  and  isnt bitting as much..  WHne  he gets  hyper the bitting  isnt as  bad but  we are still working on it he is still a puppy. He  also sitting  When  asked and when he comes up to you to  be petted. Also  im suprised I just started working with him sitting at the dorr  when the door is going to be opened and to stay  and he has  accomplished it so well..    HE has  gotten to play  with a golden  Retriver this weekend  and  had a ball.. * i never  got any pics *  He also  got to meet  my moms  little yorkie Meka. Well the yorkie didnt really like  Zeus to much BUt zeus   really  didn't  care lol  HE was really good  with the little guy though  he  didnt  try  slobberin  him to death or anything.

SO  there is a small update sort of...   

So  when  we play  fetch  with  zeus  we have a hard  time  getting the toy back  since  he  wants to  tug-o-war  with it.  SO  i  end up  always  having  to  get  my  finger in there and  pry  his mouth open  well saying  release.   Any one have a trick on how to teach them to release the toy when they bring it back to you?

I know my  pup  is  only  abou 9weeks ol' BUt  when  we  go to se ehim in the morrning  he is insane..   HE is  jumping  all over  us and  bitting at  are  toes hands  everything.  HE w ill sit  when told to  for a little biyt in  the morrnings.  I read sometwhere in this  thread to teach to control there energy. I Was  wondering how  do you teach such  or what  can I do to  get him to stop  jumping all over  us and bitting  are toes  first thing in the morrning
