Games & Jokes / Never Argue with a Woman!

Never Argue with a Woman

One morning, the husband returns the boat to their lakeside
cottage after several hours of fishing and decides to take a nap.
Although not familiar with the lake, the wife decides to take the boat out. She motors out a short distance, anchors, puts her feet up, and begins to read her book. The peace and solitude are magnificent.

Along comes a Fish and Game Warden in his boat. He pulls up
alongside the woman and says, 'Good morning, Ma'am. What are you doing?'

'Reading a book,' she replies, (thinking, 'Isn't that obvious?')

'You're in a Restricted Fishing Area,' he informs her.

'I'm sorry, officer, but I'm not fishing. I'm reading.'

'Yes, but I see you have all the equipment. For all I know you could start at any moment. I'll have to take you in and write you up.'

'If you do that, I'll have to charge you with sexual assault,' says the woman.

'But I haven't even touched you,' says the Game Warden.

'That's true, but you have all the equipment. For all I know you could start at any moment.'

'Have a nice day ma'am,' and he left.

MORAL: Never argue with a woman who reads. It's likely she
can also think.

I love looking at how much our babies change!

Hope you all like age/size progression photo's.
When we first got Beau, he loved to sleep on the cat bed.
He claimed it as his own.
I found that cat bed a few days ago. No, it didn't shrink!!
Here are the results!   :D

Beau at 8 weeks old - first day home-25.5 pds

Beau at 10 weeks - 36 pds

Now at 4 months - 70 pds

2 years - currently 206 pds

Old English Mastiff Pictures / Pics of Beau & Luke (more pics added)
« on: March 22, 2008, 01:35:07 pm »
My brindle mastiff is Beau.  He is a 2 year old neutered male and weighs in at 205 pds.  He still thinks he's a puppy sometimes and has the zoomies around the house or yard.  He's a great sleeper as well.  We have had him since he was 8 weeks old, and although he was a very good pup, I don't think I ever want to do the puppy thing again!  These guys tend to be land sharks, and at times I was very frustrated.  He is mellowing out all the time, and getting him another companion has really helped.

My second Mastiff is Luke.  He is a neutered fawn. We got him end of July 07.
He is 7 years old and a sweetie.  Poor guy has always had skin issues as well as recurring ear infections.  He is also cowhocked which is probably  from poor nutrition while he was growing up.  He is 160 pounds and the best dog we have ever had.  After an evaluation with my homeopath, I am pleased to say that Luke has had no skin or ear issues while with us.
I can't say enough about the people that do rescue, because their evaluation of him was spot on.  He has some issues with strange men, and if they are wearing hats, look out!!!!! :o
I take both my boys everywhere with me, so he has gotten much better with meeting new people.  A couple of times a month we  get together with a large dog walking group in the next city from me (about an hour's drive) and he has met well over 30 giant and large breed dogs and their owners.  He is my shadow.

As you can see he has great wrinkle!

The boys are best friends  ;D
They play together all the time, and when Beau is a little too enthusiastic, Luke tells him so!!!
By the way, Luke came with his name, we did not name him.
So people tell me all the time that it must have been karma!

Hope you enjoyed the pictures and the long story.

Hi!
My name is Chris and I live in BC, Canada.
I currently have 2 English Mastiff's, 7 cats & no skin kids.
I volunteer at my local SPCA and am very active in fundraising
for them.
Life is generally busy, to say the least.
I have been lurking for a while now.
I love my big paws.
