What timezone does BPO run in? I don't know if this is related to the new changes but I am in Central timezone and the newest post date for me is 12Feb at 12:00 even though it is now 13Feb 10:00. Does anyone else have this issue?? I know that the last post wasn't almost 24 hours ago. LOL

At least you got her to keep them on, even if she is pouting. I tried with D'Artangon and Sugar, but they kept pulling them off.

Tajsa, the Great Pyr rescue in Lincoln has several listed on Petfinder right now. I'm not sure if you have contacted them or not. Petfinder is how we found Sugar.

Tajsa, My name is Bonnie and I live in Bellevue, I'm not sure if I ever posted a formal introduction or not but I am owned by 2 Great Pyrenees, D'Artagnan and Sugar. I didn't realize anyone on the board lived so close.

I haven't had any personal experience with IBD, but I know there are several people on the rawfeeding list at Yahoo, who's dogs have IBD and they control it with raw food.

Food Discussion & Information / Re: Any raw feeders on BPO??

I also feed raw, just outside, that takes care of the mess. I've been feeding raw for almost 2 years. I went back to commercial about 6 months ago for about 4 weeks thinking I would save some money as we were in a tight spot financially, I actually spent more because of vet bills to take care of hot-spots caused by the food.  I learned my lesson.

I'm going to weigh in on the other side.  I don't feed B.A.R.F but I do feed raw.  That means my dogs don't get any veggies because they don't need them.  I've been doing this for 2 years and have had nothing but good results.  It can get a bit expensive food wise but my vet visits cost a lot less, yard clean-up is less and my dogs have wonderful coats and a lot more energy that they had when eating kibble.  One of my dogs is allergic to something that seems to be in every kibble we have tried causing dry flakey skin and excessive itching. That has gone away entirely with raw.

Where are you taking the training class.  Most of them these days refuse to let you use a pinch collar or choker.  They will only allow a head-halter, or flat collar.

Hi I'm Bonnie mom to 2 Great Pyrenees. One male(D'Artagnan), and one female(Sugar).  They are both 2 years old, we got D'Argagnan as a pup and rescued Sugar last July.  This is a great board.

My female Pyr Sugar will steal homemade bread off of the counter.  Only if it is homemade, she leaves the store bought stuff alone.
